Art,
that is a steal!
You should go for it if a 456 is what you want. You can drive the car put reasonable miles on it and sell it for probably the same.

If you keep her for a while longer you can potentially lose some money but hey, whoever is selling is taking the biggest hit here.

Wow, I personally would like a 456GTA...good bye Corvette.
I know of a 1999 w/ 6K mileage that they wanted $125K for three months ago.

Has this market dropped big time...?
Art..is this a special or long worked deal?
What would that put this 1999 at dollar-wise?

Art, if you want to talk about it give me a call. I have owned a '95 and currently own a '99. They are great cars, the best lines since the Daytona[stand back]. The window issue is blown a little out of proportion, if you have them ajusted they will stay put for a year or two. Of course there is no excuse for this design flaw, but then...

So Art, now you will sell me your Spider for $75K right? Go for it! Great car, great price. I just got a second F-car. Maybe a third is in the future.

it is a good deal, but i have been offered 98's as described for less than $80k. that is the point, do you want to lose another $50-60k over 5 years, or do you want to lose $20-30k.

Sounds like an outrageously good deal to me. Almost too good to be true. Ferraris with 500 miles for 1/2 price? Sign me up!

Is it an Automatic ? They usually go for little more than the manual even though 6 speeed more rare. Either way it's a great price for a great car. I read something about a $15k factory window replacement on all 456s but I am not sure for which year. Double check that before you buy.

depedns on how new you want it to be. personally i try to go for earliest year in the latest model, so in this case i would go for the 98 456m gt. just because its essentially the same car as the 2002, they have had time to work out all the bugs from the 456gt (which is why its the m), and its a helluva lot lower priced so you won't get so slammed on depreciation/resale. now of course there are usually slightly higher miles on this category, but within reason it shouldn't make much difference (the 2002 has 500 miles, the 98 might have 10,000 miles, but does that really matter if you only intend to put another 5-10k on it for example).

I've got an opportunity to buy a 2002 456 for 125k, maybe a little less. It's a 2002, with 500 miles (that right 500 miles) looks, smells, and feels absolutely new.

Any thoughts?
