Rijk,

you've got mail...

Just discovered that your car has done 18,000 miles in the last 20 years...

Malcolm

I also have 9" rear wheels, but no clutch problems whatsoever. No problems in general. My last problem was the horn that did not work anymore, so it turned out that I had to replace the lighter (of course!). The official one which cost $208, did not go with the wiring, so I had to settle for a non-Ferrari lighter of $18.

Rijk: Yes, it gets better and better. It is happier on the boranis with xwx than on the mags with Yokohama's, though the grip is better with the new tires. You can tell it was developed with theXWX's.I have 8's and 9's, do you have the same? I wish we could get XWX in 225 or 235, they dont look exactly correct with the 9's.
Mine seems hard on clutch cables, is yours. I am on the third cable in 8000 miles. Everythig seems aligned, they just start to fray and the strands break one at a time for awhile. Other than that mine has done nothing strange and runs like a train. Is there a better sound than 4000 RPM's in third and fourth?

Rijk,

I always had that same feeling especially with very low mileage cars.

Squeaks and rattles go away, engine gets stronger, gearbox gets slicker etc.

:-D

Malcolm,

Do you get the same feeling of improvement as you drive the car more?

I first thought it was your birthday. I'm 49 and one of the few things good about my life and current age is that owning Ferrari's is now possible!! I'm always impressed with younger owners as I have drooled about Ferrari ownership since watching Magimum PI! That kind of dates me too.

Even after the 10.000 miles in 18 months, I have only improved the average mileage from 1300 miles/year to 1500 miles/year. However, the car loves to be driven en gets better the more I drive it.
