I'm in agreement, the 512tr is the best choice. This will interesting to pursue, and should it be completed I will publish the book "512tr to M in 30 Days" providing it ever reaches circulation . Thanks everyone for the input. Ah! the Mythos. The first time I saw this car was at Concorso 2001. The Mythos photographs very well...until you see it. I found that from the front wheels to the rear of the car was pure Ferrari, but from the front wheels to the front clip something was wrong, not very Ferrari-like. In fact, it resembled more kit-car aura than anything. I understand that this is the only car in the world, mabey two. Another item of detail noted was the orbital buffer swirl marks along the precious paint. I could not beleive a car of this stature and noteriety could be blemished with such an unexcusable flaw. Closer examination also revealed that the Mythos does not have an odometer. |

that would be my (very biased) advice. just pony up for the 512tr and forget about fooling around with the tr conversions. you'll end up spending nearly the same amount, have far more hassle, and then have difficulty selling on a non-standard car. plus you will be far happer with the performance of the 512. |

Thank you! That answered many ponderings just on the photos alone. The owner almost had it, just needed the projector headlights and scoops over the storage lid. Good input on the 512tr option over the Testarossa. (Hmmm...mabey if I have some change left over I should grab the 512tr instead.) |

You might want to check: http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/18/4799.html If you convert a Testarossa to a F512 M, it will always be visible because of the interior, engine lid and so on. But if you use a 512 TR, it's very hard to see the difference. I know a 512 TR here in Holland which has been converted to F512 M and believe me: only EXPERTS can see the difference! |

You've seen them, 308's rebodied to 288GTO for GTO style.(There's one floating around on Ebay somewhere recently) FEW 348's have been rebodied with 355 panels. The finished product is very clever until you lift the lid and see the tell-tale engine. Testarossa. Has anyone read, heard of or know of a Testarossa rebodied to a 512m? And if so...was it a good example or just not possible to a certain extent? What is your opinion of a rebody?
