The picture shows the front right fender is completely ripped away. Can't see the front wheel if it's even still there. The rest of the car looks intact but probable frame damage. My scanner isn't hooked up otherwise I'd post the photo.

It certainly looks like it could be fixed but I'm sure it would probably cost big $$$$.

BTW, the caretaker was drunk when he "missed" the turn. Reminds me of another moron who destroyed a 348 in Brooklyn a couple of years ago as he tried to "break the sound barrier". Ended up killing a pedestrian who had no chance. Some people will never learn...

Or to use Stirling Moss' immortal words...

"It's immaterial which way the nose of the car is pointing, provided the car is traveling in the right direction...."

PS: I don't know about others, but I pay my taxes and don't really appreciate other "high flyers" leaving our country's expenses to us little guys. I understand "innocent until proven guilty, but the IRS isn't chasing me for $26.5 million in back taxes. Where there's smoke there's fire.

IMHO, this couldn't have happened to a more likely guy.

I think they say "what goes around, comes around". So in one respect, the caretaker might have been taking care of a previous gripe. In another respect, when the tail of the car started to come around, the nose did too...

Back in January, I got the opportunity to take my bosses BMW 740i for a drive!! I kept it to 90 on the merritt parkway, and generally behaved myeslf. Also, I did not beat the out of the car. But on a backroad in fairfield, I decided to see how well the Anti-skid, and traction control work. Well, I went into a 90 degree left hand turn at about 25, and hit the gas pretty hard in mid turn. Well the back end came around suddenly and swiftly. All the idiot lights on the dash light up with bells going off and such. I brought the bimmer back under control, and got it home safe. Gave my boss the keys back, and said I think it needs to go to the shop, one of the sensors must be bad.

The IRS works in mysterious ways.... Any speculation on the type of Ferrari? In upwards of $100,000. Hmmm.... 355, 348 Spyder?

Wow. Talk about adding injury to insult.

Watch for the car to show up on Ebay soon -- "just needs some buffing"

Sounds like that is the least of his problems lately. Still too bad.

I'd hire someone to break the guys arms and legs. And maybe do something to ensure he'd never drive another car again.
