Since I came up with that name for him (at least here on the F'Chat) - I'll leave him some cookies and milk, but he'd better be here on Dec. 24th, I'm already waiting. By the way Nick - I know you have a 308 with 180k+ miles and I just heard about an '85 Testarossa with 260,000 miles in the LA area. So you have a ways to go have to MOST miles but I know you are working on it! Let's hear about some more high mileage Ferraris! -Ben |

I just spoke with Nick and it sounds like all this talk is making is head swell and if you ever seen Nick a larger head is the last thing he needs. What's that disease you get from bug bite....Elephantitus? He says that he would like to be refer to as SAINT NICK from here on out but that he ain't leaving nothing for FREE under your tree! |

I too had the pleasure of meeting Nick at the Concorso Italiano two weeks ago and he was a blast to talk to about F cars. A very energetic and enthusiastic guy which I will be buying most of my 348 parts from. |

Talked to Nick tonight for the first time. We were on the phone for over an hour discussing my '80 308GTBi. He's a great guy and has to be THE AUTHORITY ON 308's this side of the pond! |

Damn; makes me want to go too. Burger, huh? Is there a better combination than Burger and Ferrari? Just received my waterpump from Nick. Thanks Nick. Hope I will get that 308 soon to send the engine up to you! |

Your experience with Nick pretty much echos mine when I visited him back in July. I heard he plays a mean guitar too ;-) |

Hi everyone! I just got back from a small vacation to Seattle. I originally went for the Dave Matthews concert at the Gorge Sunday night. But I did a whole lot more....including meeting Nick Scianna. Firstly, I went to the Boeing factory for a tour (saw a row of brand new 747-300s, including one without any paint, it was just a huge polished 747 and looked awesome), then I went to the Space Needle. Then Saturday I drove all the way to the Olympic National Park (which was absolutely magnificent), then I drove to Blaine Washington to see Nick and his restaurant. OK, let me be the first person to tell you guys that Nick has got to be the coolest, nicest most laid back, funny Ferrari nut I have ever met. We found the place and saw 3 Ferraris parked out front..."There it is!!" I screamed! Outside there was Nicks red 308 GTSi and his magnificent black 308 GTBi. Nicks friend Wes was there with his beautiful red/black 328 GTS. We had dinner and talked most of the afternoon. Oh yeah, not if, but WHEN anyone goes to Nicki's Diner (its a really cool 50s style diner), you MUST have the Double Heart Attack burger....it was truly a masterpiece of a burger if I ever saw one!! Mmmmmm. It was wonderful. After I ate that monster burger, I was ready for a ride in the GTBi. Let me begin by knocking down all posts on this site about 2 valve GTSi/GTBis being slow. That is JUST NOT TRUE. His car is outrageously fast!!! If anyone thinks a 2 valve is too slow, you have not talked with Nick yet. I know first hand that 2 valves are just as fun as any other 308. That GTBi of his, sounds incredible, handles incredible and is in incredible shape. And you know what the best thing about it is? He drives the doo doo out of those cars. He drives his red GTSi every day! The cars respond so much better when you are driving the hell out of them. Nick was shifting his black showcar at 8,000RPM!!!, he was slinging it around corners and just driving it the way Enzo wanted. I was smiling like a kid on a roller coaster. MAN can that guy drive a Ferrari! I respect that a lot. Nick is a perfect example of what a genuine Ferraristi really is and a true gentleman. I had a great time with him. I want anyone who has the means, to go see him and eat at the restaurant. Its guys like Nick, that make owning a Ferrari even more pleasurable. THANK YOU SO MUCH NICK!!! After that, on Sunday we drove through Leavenworth and Wenatchee Washington...that is apple country....so many apple trees!! I was able to pick some apples and I took them home for my girlfriend. Then we went to the Dave Matthews show at the Gorge. That was just unreal. What a show, and what an incredible place to have a show! I was totally enchanted with the state of Washington. I love it there and will return often. And you can bet your ass that I will go see Nick every time. |
