Here are some photos of the latest items I've produced. The first is a footrest for the 348/355 Spider and the second is a custom gas pedal for a customer to allow easier heel/toe driving.
Tim, I have not used the explode feature yet but thanks for the info. I agree with you about the software being a real time saver especially since I can export the models directly into Master CAM, layout my tool paths and load in onto my CNC. Rob

I see you enjoy the "hole wizard" feature. Imagine if you had to make all of those holes and countersink them the long way! Solidworks is a very nice program. most of it is logical and makes sense, but there are some parts that are counter intuitive. one example off the top of my head is the exploded views. You have to do numerous steps to explode the assembly, ad if you click "ok" before you are done by accident, you have to do it all over again. Is there a a way to NOT do it allover again? I cant complain though, because this program does so much for you. I dont know what i would do if i had to make al the drawings by hand. Also, if i were to make them all by hand, and then chage a part, i'd be f-ed. I like how this prog will automatically update everything if you make a change. |

Hi Peter, I have footrest for the Mondial 3.2 Coupe and I can supply it without the cross hatching. Please note that I am more than happy to produce other variations of the products shown on www.ultimatepedals.com. Also, if anyone has any other item they would like manufactured let me know. Hi Tim, Thank you for your compliment, and yes I did bend sheetmetal to make the parts in Solid Works. It's a great program. Rob |

nice solidworks pieces Rob. Did you "bend sheetmetal" to make the "L" shape, or did you extrude another piece off, and then round that edge? |

Paul/Rob -- Do you have a footrest available for a Mondial 3.2 coupe? I think I prefer the smooth finish for the footrest over the finish that matches the brake/clutch pedal. |

I'd like to say that I got all three pedals and dead pedal from Paul Hill. They look GREAT! Excellent prices, shipped on time, and great installation instructions for us dummies! I've seen other pedals from other makers, and many are nice, but Hill's look totally "stock". |

I'd like to mention here that Rob Baylor and Ultimate Pedals have agreed to become a supporter of FCA (Ferrari Club of America), and I certainly encourage you to support them when you need/want a pedal set from a USA supplier/manufacturer.

Thanks Rob, My birthday is comming up in July and I think I will put a footrest and maybe one of the modified gas pedals on my birthday list. My wife and others always are asking me for ideas for my birthday. I already have the Ferrari aluminium pedals (last year's Christmas list). I will measure my footrest in my 512TR and give you measurements to make sure same as for your Testarossa model. |

Hi Lloyd, I include stainless steel flat head self tapping screws as well as flat head machine screws with nuts and washers will all footrest kits. Depending on the application you drill into either fiberglass or sheet metal and can use either the self tapping (easier because you don't have to get behind what you're drilling through to tighten the nut) or the nut, bolt, and washer (a little more mork but not all that hard). The installation procedure is identical to the gas/brake/clutch installation. Please let me know if you require more info. Hi Kz, My next project is a footrest for 360, I already have the template for the car. If your interested in a footrest for the 575 please let me know if you can either mail me (most preferable) the footrest from your car or scan/measure the footrest. Please let me know if anyone else has a request. Rob Baylor |

I wanted to post this CAD rendering of the 348 abd 355 footrests since I probably wont be able to post actual photos till Tomorrow. Please note that both footrests will have the same cross hatch pattern as the brake and clutch pedals even thought the renderings don't show it.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Rob Baylor |

Rob the rubber peices you replace them with are pretty much the same. One may be longer that the other but they both had a distinctive edge. I recall that because they come lose on both of my cars and I had to re-glue them. That is why I was sayin they looked the same.

Martin, The left side of the large footrest from a 348TS has a curved edge versus a straight line, sorry but I'm not quite sure how to describe it. I will post CAD renderings later today to help show the shapes of the patterns I currently have. Peter, Thank you very much for the compliment, regarding UK RHD footrest for your 512TR, I'm not sure if it is the same as the LHD version. Please see the following thread for a photo of the LHD version. www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/21/216790.html Can you provide photos of your footrest? If its different than the LHD version I'll gladly make one for your car. Ron, Thanks for the great referral! Rob Baylor |

I have seen Rob's products and am in the process of installing a footrest for the Mondial Cab (in fact my car provided the model). The quality of his product is first rate. I highly recommend them. Plus he is a great guy. |

Hey, Rob! Those pedals look sharp! I may think about putting them in my 512TR, but it's a UK RHD model. Will your pedals fit? Also, can you ship to Hong Kong? If so, how much? |

hm, they looked equal to me. They may be higher on the 348, although I don't think so. What do you mean with curves?

Hi Martin, Thanks for your reply. I have footrest patterns for the 355 and 348 but they are different. The footrest pattern from the 355 is 8" tall with no curves (only straight lines), and the footrest pattern from the 348 is 13" tall with lots of curves. I will post CAD rederings of the 355 and 348 footrests I have later today. Thanks for the feedback, Rob Baylor |

Hi Stu, Thanks for the feedback. I don't have any photos of the passenger footrest yet. It will have the same pattern as the driverside footrest/brake/clutch and measure approximately 11" wide and 12" high. I will post a CAD rendering later today. Thanks again, Rob Baylor
