In reference to a Euro 360 (which I know isn't exactly what you asked)....The US computer has no problem reading a Euro model...That's a fact, my car is an unconverted Euro in the USA, and it read the data perfectly. However, (again this wouldn't concern an 80's model) There is an issue with a US computer reading OBD II...This problem is that until quite recently, Ferrari didn't install OBDII systems on Euro spec cars (it wasn't required)....I believe from 2001 onwards all vehicles had OBD II installed.

Not true. The cars are substantially similar. The minor difference rarely if ever stump the service people or the diagnostic equipment.

One benefit to Euro cars is they are slightly faster than their American counterparts because of less emission paraphernalia.

Thanks for the input guys.

But I heard somewhere that the U.S. dealers can't service the Euro cars because of equipment that does'nt match up.. Also the U.S. dianostic stuff doesn't understand the Euro computers on the cars that have them...
How true is that...

what euro vs us car has a huge difference in a 80s model????

The 308 Euros are trading higher than the US, the TR has a $2000 difference.
They are the same cars, no worries man! Even Euro 355s are not that much different from US, once the warranty is over they are all the same.

Ron, I don't think it matters. My buddy and I both have the exact same car; his: USA, mine: euro, and they have had the exact same problems, and only part of his stuff was under warranty. Good luck...bottom line: buying one of these cars has nothing to do with common sense, it's all passsion:-)

Is it a big deal to purchase a euro model Ferrari of the 80's that ha no warranty.

The price difference between Late model US and Euro model is huge. But you have no warranty..

Older cars don't have a warranty anyway, so is there a problem to get them serviced and is it more expensive to maintain a Euro model car??
