I have often wondered if the use of floor jacks can cause stress fractures on body frame welds. When I change the oil on my 308, I will jack the car up enough to slide a jackstand on one side and do the same on the other side. My thinking is that since I am not jacking the car up from the center of the frame, the 'tweek' factor may cause damage to frame welds...Should I worry about this? |
