Wade has that right. You don't even have to change the speedo unless you resell the car. Do a "google" search on the subject and you will find a number of websites with helpful information. I am currently looking for a BMW up in Vancouver right now....well, actually I just got home. :-) The search continues.... |

no you do not, all you need is a letter from the North American manufactorers rep to give a letter of compliance. Canada's DOT and EPA is acuatlly more stringant than that of the US. You will have to pay a 2.5% duty tax though Wade |

If one brings in a car from Canada, do they still have to go through the DOT / EPA conversions on the car, despite it being a North America production vehicle? --Dan PS: The speedo / mileage are in KM, which is what made me think of it. |
