Forget driving a 348 in a pair of Chicos. I tried this once and nearly wrecked the car when I pushed in the clutch and caught the break along the way. |

The pedals on my Esprit are much closer and smaller than on my 308 QV. |

Craig, then a 328 must have tiny, narrow pedals, or your feet were smaller back then? LOL I'll measure from the left edge of the clutch to the right edge of the gas and we can compare. I'm no expert but I drove a Mondial QV and it had a little wider spacing than my car; would that be the same as a 328? |

Always drove any of the Esprits I had, without shoes on--the pedal box is quite small ! Jake |

Ken, I don't remember my Europa being much smaller than my 328 pedals.... |

I'm size 8 which is a small foot, and I have to wear my narrowest shoes in the Europa. It's closer than any Ferrari I bet. Plus, I had to learn heel and toe backwards since the gas is hung from the top and the brake/clutch pivots at the bottom. Toe and heel! Are any Ferraris like that too or is it just an F'ed up British thing? |

Had the same problem in the BB512i but with the clutch and brake but I have big feet and like to wear wide shoes. Jack |

I stuff my size 12 feet into a pair of size 11 Rockport Pro Walkers that are narrow enough for me to drive. Any other (regular) shoes and I get gas/brake/clutch all in one shot... I was thinking of having my feet bound, but this seems to be a lost art. |

remember, on the later models the pedals can be reconfigured on their stalks. you might want to futz with them a bit. the 550's footwell down there is very nicely sized, whereas, for comparison, the 355 has a very small footwell - much more cramped. doody. |

I have big feet (size 12) and have always had that problem. I just take my right shoe off. No problem to heel & toe. Henry |

Mine pedals fit perfectly, shoe size 9B. Although my wide based tennis shooes are a real pain, I don't wear these when driving the Ferrari. |

I'm with KZ, I almost always wear my Pilotis when driving the F car. If I drive it to work, I pick a pair of narrow soled loafers. I tried to drive in cowboy boots once, talk about being hard to heel and toe! |

Wear narrower shoes?......But you're right, the style now is for thick soled chunky shoes and that doesn't make for comfortable F-car driving. I usually wear piloti racing shoes when I'm in the F-cars. |

i have the exact opposite problem... My pedals are too far apart, thus hindering my ability to heel/toe (not that i'm good at it, anyway), but i just put challenge 'plates' on the pedals this weekend, which have made them wider, hence, bringing the stop and go levers closer together; maybe there are 'thinner' pedals you can get, to alleviate your problem...? Anyone know if that's possible...? |

How many people have the problem of the gas pedal and brake pedal actually being uncomfortably close together.....I was driving this weekend, wearing a pair of dress shoes....kind of wide...and I had a very hard time working the gas....it was really annoying.....I kept getting the pedal stuck and lurching the car......it made me wonder what do all the TALL people out there with size 12 and 13's do............ |
