I think one of the reasons they put the buttons on the steering wheel besides the fact that it keeps your hands on the wheel, it looks cool and gives the Enzo the F1 feel. |

Matt: "Peter, all the 246's I have looked at have had that wheel." Are you sure? I've only seen the MOMO ones with circular holes in the spokes. Abarth made only aftermarket steering wheels (a few select special Fiats and Lancias used them as stock). In any case, I wish I had one in my GT4... |

Tim, while I agree about the front-end button not needing to be on the steering wheel, what about REMOVING the turn signal stalk as something that could get in your way while driving hard? 99.95% of us have learned to avoid it, but that dosen't mean getting rid of it couldn't be benefical. Oh, that button should be "ASR *ENable*" ;D) Best! Ben. |

I'm not sure why the F50 has the gear indicator since it's a manual. That's a pic from ferrarina.com I think from the F50 section, so it is the road car. We have an F50 at work every once in awhile but the screen goes black when it's off obviously and I'm never driving it so I never really checked it out in person. |

I dont understand why they put all that stupid crap on the wheel of the enzo. They say its so you dont have to remove yuor hands from the wheel when you are driving fast. How fast do you enter your driveway, making it so you cant move your hand for a moment to hit a button to raise the nose? Also, how often do you usew your blinkers on a race track? come on. |

OK Andreas, I'll bite. I'm assuming they didn't let you straddle the rear of GV's Ferrari, so how did you snap that photo? If that's just from leaning over, very well done! Gets my vote for 1st place, by the way. |

Here's the dash in my 71 Dino. As you can see, the wheel obstructs your view of some of the gauges. Does any one know if this is the right size wheel for these cars? |

Joseph is close, the bottom right silver button is for reverse, and the bottom left yellow button is to lift the front end for more clearance. Also the top of the wheel lights up as the RPMs approach redline.

Warren, the buttons are as follows (from right, top, clockwise): Race (for tranny); ASR disable switch; "N" to put tranny in Neutral; Graphic of car with boot open (to release boot); Set (for dash functions); Mode (for dash functions) Turn signals are via buttons on the 3 and 9 spokes of wheel. Press the Yellow Cavallo button in the center to send a homing robot to retrieve roadside assistance |

Ernesto I was thinking about that as well, the F50 road car never car with an F1 style transmission. But maybe this was taken from one of the GT cars?! Didn't they have sequential transmissions? |

Sean, Your Enzo dash pic is great. Do you have a more detailed one that labels the buttons on the steering wheel? Am I wrong or does one of the buttons say, "Smokescreen" on it? |

Bret, do you know why the F50 dash you posted has the F1 gear indicator screen inside the tach? The F50 was not available with the F1 tranny, although it was supposed to have it but was eliminated late in its development. Does the screen still display the gear you are in, even though it is not an F1? Ernesto |

A little OT: I have an awesome book called "Dashboards" by David Holland. It only has one Ferrari (1952 212 Inter) but it's full of enormous photos of dashboards and other details of everything from a 1904 Panhard et Levassor to the 1973 BMW 2002 Turbo, with Bugattis, Talbos, Mercedes, Alfas, and everything else in between. Gorgeous book! |

They're both from the Galleria in Maranello. The first one is a 166 F2 from 1951 (had a 2l 12 cyl engine producing 165 HP). The second was Prost's F1. |

First the car needs to be for the italian maket so everything is in italian ( like Benzina , aqua etc..) , then it has to be a pre 360/550 car without those electronic display screens ... I would say the Daytona .

My fav. is the 550. The 575 lost it with the BIG tach. I love the twin line design and downward needles in a size you can easily read...unlike a 328's or TRs.

Hey everyone, I'm just wondering out of all the Ferrari dash and instrument gauges out there, which one looks the best in your opinion? Is it the modern ENZO? the classic?? Let's post some nice pictures of your dash and/or tach's. |
