I think Bo Pirkle in Tucker, GA wants $145 a wheel if you bring them on the car with tyres. Ofcourse, they would be concour perfect when you got them back. You could ship them to him. |

Jim, Does it require any particular paint, color etc - or do I just go to a reputable body shop and let them match the color?? Thanks for your help! Johnny |

Don't do it yourself, to do it right will take 2-4 hours per wheel and that's if you already have the proper equipment. Plus your equipment costs. Mine were done for $85 each and are perfect...

It can easily be done, and they're not magnesium. I had mine repaired and refinished for about $130. Rob had all four of his done for about $100 each. |

Many have sent their wheels to companies that specialize in refinishing. Check out the archives. I believe the prices were very reasonable, around $150 per wheel and under. I stripped my Testarossa wheels and had them repainted and clear coated. The results are terrific and the price was cheap. But it was not worth all the hours scraping, wire-brushing, sanding, and chemical burns to justify the savings. If I had to do it again, I'd send them out. |

I noticed that the rims on my 86 328 are starting to look a bit weathered? Can I simply have the rims painted? I have been told that they are made out of Magnesium and there is not a lot that can be done? Any help would be appreciated. Johnny |
