Jack,

BTW:
If you come you could bring me this new Ferrari 348 poster where it is photographed from above! Really love that shot! Would buy it then so you dont need to mail.

Jack,

Bring what you want! Would be nice to have you with us!
Just shoot me a mail when you know whether you want to stay with us at the hotel, how long etc. and I will make the necessary arrangements for you.
If you can just stay for one day I propose saturday since I hope we can gather around twenty Ferraris (hopefully more if we got cancellations less!) at the parking lot of Nordschleife! :-)
Really looking forward to the faces of all the people at the lot when we arrive :-)

Jens,

I guess it only speaks for you (and against me...) that you didn't know that.... Hahahahaha!

OK, my excuse is having lived in Amsterdam for a good number of years!

As far as I am concerned, the Nurburgring is still very much "on" for us.

The Alfa is now fully "chipped" and is getting better and better (and FASTER). We're now looking for a longer diff as we keep hitting the rev limiter in 5th gear at around 200 KMH.

The brake conversion should be ready before Le Mans so we can "rub it in" in time for the Nurburgring but not confirmed yet if we can join you guys for all the days of the event.

If you would allow it, we COULD bring another car.... It is the hobby project of the "Wizzard of Torque"... Dax Super Seven with prepped Alfa 3.3L V6.... 300 HP in 600 KG and road legal...

Best,
Jack

Jack,

Thanks for the clarification! My dictionary already seems to be a bit dated :-)
BTW: What about june at the Nürburgring? Would be nice to meet you there! Perhaps you can persuade me about your chip tuning programm?

DES,

:-)
Well about the name that is difficult for americans/english people since its originally a swedish name (at least I think so!):
Just pronounce it like you think its right and next time we meet I will tell you (During a drive in a F car, I hope!).
Looking forward to see you sometime in the US or Europe.

Con saluti cordialissimi,
Jens Haller

P.S. Actually american jeeps are really sold a lot here and this Chrysler Voyager you can also see very often as a mini van. Vipers and Corvettes are normally only driven by very strange people (Souteneurs (?!), thugs etc.)

Jens (how do you pronounce your name?), i could be biased, but i just can't see any sort of demand for american cars, anywhere in the world, aside from the few you mentioned; i can understand that someone prefers a Viper over any other sports car, or even a Corvette; i would think that Europe would have it's own jeep manufacturer, but who knows... As far as driving down the block in Germany and seeing a Saturn or a Geo Metro- that would bug me out...

DES, back to your question- yes these will fit the Saturn. A chance to double the value of the car and increase the curb appeal at the same time.

One word of caution; these things are collectables and they tend to disappear. I think Groit's Garage sells a type that need a special tool to remove.

DES,

Perhaps you are right about american cars:
Except for some Jeeps, Vipers and Corvettes you rarely see american cars here in Germany!
I guess there are already too many european and japanese brands available for the rather limited market in Europe.

Jens, are you talking about Saturns not being imported into Germany...?

Seriously...? The Germans make some of the best cars that the market has ever seen - not just my opinion, either. What would they do with a Saturn...? In Europe, they use MerceDES as taxis; over here, a MerceDES is a status symbol... You all are way ahead of us in the automobile manufacturing department... :-)

DES,

Right: What makes things worse is the fact that these cars are not imported into Germany!
Any reason for that????

My 328 already had them when I bought it, but the metal is brushed rather than polished. They match the rims better IMO.

Heiko,
Just ordered a set.
By the way I have a red rear Valance in perfect condition for a 360 modena (put on a challenge grill) which I'd like to sell.
Any suggestions where I should advertise and for how much$
