On Sundays West Palm Beach Auto Show we caused some stares as well. It is amazing how these cars can turn heads.

We pulled in in a group of a Diablo, a Vector, a 360 (Steve, thanks for coming), a 355 Spider (Hi Hartmut) and my 348. Now that is an impressive automotive show in itself I agree, but the cars that were at the show were all great cars. Mostly classics, they were a feast for the eyes. However, when we pulled in, everybody had their eyes on us. Show stopper!

Just took my 17yr old neighbor for a very spirited ride on a curvy back road. His usual ride is an old jeep so this was the thrill of his life(automotively speaking).I got as big a kick as he did just watching his face which I couldn't do too often since I hit the rev limiter in 2nd and 3rd.Just another fringe benefit of F ownership.

when reading this thread - thought you might get a kick out of this one - was in the gym yesterday on the stairmaster thing and it faces the window - right outside was my car ( 355 spider- red/black ) had top up - anyways im watching this kid pull up in his convertable mustang ( top down )I can see him staring from 100 feet away he is staring and staring as he is pulling into the parking space next to mine - unfortunately for him he stared so much as he pulled into the parking space next to me - he didnt see how close he was to the fence in front of him - he didnt slam it but he bumped it - the fence definately moved - upon exiting his car he still never even knew he hit the fence and just got out of his car and started looking at mine

I had a little fun today. I washed my car and to dry her off I drove to the park just to have a drive by the beach. Well, long story short, there was a import car meet there of about 50 lowered and tricked out Hondas, Mazdas and every other sport compact with huge wings and huge stickers. The only way to get through the group of parked cars and peoeple was to drive right through the middle. Needless to say I "Caused a scene", I "Stopped the show" it was possibly the best 20 seconds of my life.

ONE OF MY FAVORITES IS "IS IT A KIT CAR" MY ANSWER DEPENDS ON HOW RED THIER NECK IS. I LOVE TO TALK ABOUT MY CAR BUT SOME TIMES YOU CAN GO OVER SOME PEOPLES HEAD IN THE FIRST SENTENCE.

I have always hated my "Honey-Do" list...until I bought my Ferrari. Now...I ask my Honey if there is anything I can pick up or do for her (outside the home). My favorite chore is dropping off the Blockbuster videos by taking the long way through country roads, and then past the fancy restaurants to get a thumbs up from Corvette and P-car owners. I love it when people come up and ask questions about the car.

My marriage is a lot better these days. :) Thank you Enzo!

One day I was putting gas in my car, I was thinking about something not paying attention to anything but what I was thinking about. Then a sound totally interupted my thinking it almost pulled my head up. I look out at the street to see what it was and it was a sweet looking TR. The sound of those 12 cylinders compleatly set it apart from the other cars. I can only imagine how good it sounds winding out to the redline.

Just yesterday I let a good friend of mine drive my TR for about 40 miles. Today he started saving for HIS testarossa. The TR is one of the greatest cars.

I always let people drive my car. I want to let them know that Ferrari owners aren't snobs and to me it is fun to share the experience. I know after they drive the car and I encourage them to get the rpms up, they have a good story to tell their friends.

James, You are a trusting soul. But I'm sure your friends like you that way.

For me, part of the fun of owning a Ferrari is sharing the experience with others. I first Ferrari was an 84 308 GTSI back in 85. My current Ferrari is also an 84 308. When I was in Chicago, I had only had my car for a month when a friend asked if he could drive my car. Not only did I let him drive it, I let him keep it for two weeks. Since then, I have let others drive it without me being present and making them feel uneasy driving it. Some of you may think I am crazy, but the car is made for enjoyment and if my friends can also get enjoyment out of it, then it makes me feel good.

You gotta love that. I love hearing about how passionate someone is with their Ferrari. We know the feeling. People always say I start glowing when I talk about my Ferrari...like its a child or a pet!! There is NO other car in the world that gives more pride of ownership. When I drive my car, I call the drive "Causing a Scene". Hey honey lets go cause a scene....she likes that.

I gave my car a good bath tonight after I got off work to relax a little. It looks so good after I wash it. Later on the wife asks what is for dinner. "Honey" I say "how about I go pick up dinner for us". I take the car out and the restaurant I was going to is on a popular strip with a lot of bars on it. You could hear my exhaust echo off of the buildings as I cruised by. I heard three or four people comment on the car, one guy yelled out "a Ferrari". I find it hard to believe that there is another car that gives more pride of ownership.
