This car has been for sale quite awhile. It is a pretty color on someone else's car, but not many actual buyers (which is why it is rare in the first place) I do wonder about the tranny rebuild also. Miles do count, and they are higher than average. All in all, I think high 30's.

What kind of driver was the previous owner? Why did it need a tranny rebuild? Mine has 48K miles and my tranny is fine.

Platinum award show quality= $50K
Good condition/needs nothing= $45K
A liitle beat up= $40K or less

I agree too Scott. I paid 50K for my 86 328GTS one year ago and many people said I paid too much. They didn't know that it had 16K miles on it, it was impeccable and I new the previous owners since new....AND it was not for sale...I was persistent and made an offer and REALLY wanted THIS car. Sometimes you can't put a price on piece of mind.

Agree with Jack, that you will get many opinions on prices, and they can vary by region, and most importantly on condition. Assuming good cosmetics, this car would probably SELL in between 37 and 41 k. A lot depends on the buyer and seller, and what their expectations are. I also believe the color is more of a detriment to price than a plus; but you never know, there MAY be someone who is expressly looking for this rare bird....and willing to pay a premium, but for most, they would probably expect a small discount, from a red, or black car.

Belt replacement versus a full major service would make a big difference in the selling price as well.

I have owned many sports cars over the years including collectable muscle cars. NADA guides IMHO are not used by anyone except poorly informed consumers. Not a true market picture....

Should be in the low to mid 40's. Several listed in the Ferrari Market Letter in the upper 40's to 50's. Encourage him to seek out an 89 for the little better suspension and abs. Costs more and in my opinion, worth it but others will debate the issue. Just a matter of opinion. The 89 should hold value better since it is the last year and had several improvements over prior years. That said, the 328 of any year is a great car!

Get ready for lots of opinions and advice. Mileage is on the higher end for that year. Blue is a rarer color. Some feel that makes it more unique, others will say it's less desireable. Basically, assuming it's in good shape mechanically and cosmetically, it should value somewhere in the mid $40Ks. Always hard to know without actually seeing the car. You will see some in the mid-upper $50s.

My next door neighbor is just starting the process of looking for a 328 (he just moved and his computer hasn't arrived yet...). He has found a car that is a 1988 one owner California car with 49K miles on it. It has a huge stack of service records and has just had a belt service and transmission rebuild done at a Ferrari dealer. The car is blue/crema. What is this car worth??

Thanks,

Scott
