Boba, I have an attachment that plugs my iPod into the system. It sits just below the shifter out of the away but close enough for easy opp. It also keeps the battery in shape. Give me a sec and I will find the link for it. (Walks outside to look in car....) DrS |

I'm an ipod user as well, however having full integration into the car's system is a great plus. Plus the voice commands of the phatnoise are cool. I wouldn't want to have to hard-wire a custom ipod cradle and use some FM modulator. Of course, the flip side to that solution is your music goes where you want, car, etc. Personally, the non-invasive and simple plug and play factors of the PhatNoise make it more appealing as an automotive solution than an iPod with a modulator. Don't get me wrong, I love the iPod, but the batteries are crap (my first iPod is getting maybe 45mins / charge of playtime, second is faring somewhat better, but it's degrading quickly - seems to be a common problem), and the phatnoise will hold *60* gb! Plus, the 'cartridge' means that you'll be able to upgrade hard drives by buying a new one, not a whole new unit. --Dan |

I haven't played with it much, but a friend has an earlier version on his S4 - loves the thing. I will find out more, and if you have any specific questions, I can pass those along as well. --Dan |

Doody, I am considering a Kenwood Music Keg for my MB E55. The Phat Noise system is the same product, as Phat Hoise writes the software for Kenwood and the design of the hardware on the PhatNoise website looks identical to Kenwoods system. I have played with the Kenwood system at the stereo store and it seems awesome. I am waiting for Phat Noise to write software that will work in my car so I dont have to buy an RF modulator to make the Kenwood Keg work. |

http://www.phatnoise.com it replaces your cd changer. you feed it a cartridge which is basically a hard drive, and you control it through your stock becker head unit. i have a friend with one in his bmw m3. they just released a version that'll work with the becker head units (porsche, ferrari). curious to know if anyone's played with it. doody. |
