Hi Rolly, yes we did meet at the Briars. Your car is in great condition. I got some detail photos of your car, to get parts of mine closer to original.
Not sure about the rally, but it is likely we will attend that one.
Tony, you started this thread, are you out there somewhere? :-) |

Rolly....
I lived there for 10 years (from 1978-1988) and then moved to Calgary. I was 12 when I left, so I dont remember all the specifics. I used to live off Rosedale Cres in a cul del sac called Picton Place. I attended Laurie Smith elementary school and then did a year at Tecumseh before I left.
Now that I think about it, I dont recall ever seeing any exotic sports cars when I used to live there. It was only when I went to Toronto or moved to Calgary that I started seeing all the Ferraris and Porsches that I read about in the magazines.

Yikes... James I just started counting and I guess I've been here 27 years, in Burlington that is. I live in the core, just down the street from Central Library.
Gerrit, I'm in the same boat. Just got the car this spring and still feeling things out....listening for scary expensive noises and giddy with the fun that can be had on the right road. Too bad about the visitors, hope they brought nice gifts.
I think we briefly met at the concourse at the Briars. I would like to have talked more but did not stay for the lunch. Mine was the red GT4 at the end, next to Rocco's and I was only there a couple of hours. I'm planning on attending the fall Euro rally at the end of September, perhaps see you there...maybe you too Tony and James. |

Nope, no track days this year. Over a span of 9 weeks, we had visitors for 7 of them. Plus the budget for a helmet etc. isn't there, this being the first year of ownership. Next year,,,, is another thing, I should at least get there to spectate, and maybe catch a ride :-)
I did pop over to Mosport for practice and qualifying for the ALMS, great day. |
