Damn Evan, I thought you were shooting the car next to us when you raised the camera my way! It was fun for me to hear my car in some of the clips. We should've video'd the tach as we ran it to redline a few times.

The sense of motion was more effective than alot of "car" videos i've seen, which are often disorienting. You got a good sense of the swiftness of the cars, and the range of different, recent models. Rob, you were fine. When i first learned to speak in public, or on a "record," i was very self-conscious until i realized that what i was actually thinking does not necessarily come across, on the page or camera. That's why alot of newscasters can do their jobs without having a full deck. Thanks, it was fun to watch.

I downloaded the video but it's only 2min 17sec long. Rob's post states it is 28 minutes. What did I do wrong?

I'm the journalist that shot and edited the Ferrari piece that Rob's talking about and I'm glad everyone liked it. I wanted to respond about the "exhaust sound" post. I tried to keep each car with its engine, but with some of the shots there was nothing but wind noise and I had to put something in those areas. I tried to keep it low so it would not be too noticeable, but I figured some people would pick up on it. It's unfortunate but it had to be done.

"Ok, I downloaded WMP 9.0, now it works. Software upgrade was required!"

It is so interesting. You have:
"what can brown do for you"
and
"Viagra"
driving in the same lap

They really know how to market it, BTW I wonder if anyone has ever tried to sue them or the networks under FCC rules which limit the number of commericals you can have in a hour :-)

...but its true.

Reporter:
"How did you manage to win this race driving in circles? Did you ever have the feeling you were lost?"

Driver Cusin Earl:
"First I would like to say the Chevy M&M Cracker Barrel car was running great. Our Tides, Butterfinger team has done an outstanding job and I would like to thank our sponsors Quaker and Kellogs as well as Viagra and my wife. Now what was your question?"

I love it. Great reporting. What are you talking about Rob. That was great! No aehs, ah, uh, hm.
GREAT!

Now the only thing you did not do right was, you should have plugged Ferrarichat.com and Cavallino Motors.

"A Ferrari is a great car, read more about it on FerrariChat.com and check out the sponsors Cavallino Motors in Miami"

As a punishment you have to watch 2 hours of post NASCAR racing in one week! These guys show you how its done right!

well I watched it again and the 360 sound seems real, but at the end I think that is Jim's 328 you here while looking at Greg's TR. Anyway, we has 19 cars total and drove about 180 miles that day.

I don't think the exhaust notes are real or at least not matched with the scenes. Listen closely and they are dubbed in.

My stuttering ass about ruined the piece, I warned him that I would suck on TV. I got mad at Jennie years ago when she said I had a lisp, well this segment just proves it.

Too bad they didn't get all the users and cars, but for that short of segment they had a good mix of driving, interviews, and good sound clips with the background music and the real music of the 360 and then the TR at the end.

We had a photo journalist follow us around for our FCA DFW Poker Run we did April 26th. The two and a half minute segment came out very good. Except for my first and hopefully last time on TV. There are several users in the video, most noticable being JimE standing in front of his white 328 being interviewed and also the in car view. You'll also see Jim Schad taking a picture from my car back at the camera as I pass.
