I'll probably stop by the club around 5:30 or 6:00 PM to see who is hanging around. I would like to see what everyone thinks of the car. The Azzuro color is truly something that must be seen to be appreciated. I am really looking forward to seeing all of the other cars that will be there.

David,

The 550 is the easy choice that makes the most sense, I just love the Boxer.

I will have to check it out another time.

The turn looks pretty good for this Get Together, but there is plenty of room for more, I don't think we have more than 1(Eli) from the NY crew and not a person from MD or De.

Even if you are just coming to Bull-S__t about your cars come on out. The guys on the West Coast get 40 cars at the drop of a hat, let's see if we can't geta good size turnout

Hey, does anyone know if soft travel golf bags are still OK for airlines? Back 15 years ago when I played golf they were, but today you mostly see the hard golf travel bags.

Shorts are fine , there really is no dress code just no jeans if you are playing golf.

The club really doesn't have any rules!

A good dress code story -a few years back when a certain casiono owner was married to Miss Maples I got a call about whether it was ok for Marla to play golf in a loose tank top , not only was it ok but it should have been mandatory !! She is a knock out

A.C. is only 1:45 hours from Long Island and someone has to give DES a ride so he doesn't get 52 speeding tickets.

It can be reached in under an hour from Jersey Shore communities, extending from Red Bank to Cape May. Philadelphia is one hour's drive using the Atlantic City Expressway. Manhattan and North New Jersey are 100 miles North on the Garden State Parkway and New Jersey Turnpike. From Philadelphia: Take the Atlantic City Expressway to Exit 7N, the Garden State Parkway (GSP). Follow the GSP north for approximately four miles to the Atlantic City Service Plaza. Enter the Service Plaza and follow the signs for Jimmie Leeds Road. At Jimmie Leeds Road, turn right and follow east for approximately five miles to Route 9. At the stop sign, turn left onto Route 9 North for approximately one mile and the Club entrance will be on the right.

From New York City: Take the Garden State Parkway to Exit 44, Pomona Road. Take a left onto Pomona Road and proceed to Moss Mill Rd. Take a right onto Moss Mill Road and proceed to the Route 9 traffic signal. Make a right onto Route 9 and the club will be on your left hand side.

I'm looking forward to the trip. I won't be around very much until Monday. Just finished the 1st of a 3 day race weekend. Things haven't gone well to say the least. Exhaust broke in two, cracked a rotor, and fuel filter clogged. Hopefully tomorrow goes better, just a typical day of racing. BTW, my Rx7, not the Challenge!

I went to "dust" off the golf clubs and couldn't find them, all kinds of growths and rust had hid them, dust would of been eazy.

Hey, forget this FerrariChat outing crap - i have a problem and it's much more important...!

Last week, i was at the range, hitting with a 3 iron and a 5 iron and now i'm back to practicing with a club and my whole shot is screwed up...! What do i do...? 270 balls don't lie, my shot with a club is definitely off; i don't want to be stuck driving with a 5 iron for the rest of my life...! :-)

Vernon, how the bleep is your neighbor bringing all four cars...? Does he need a spare driver...? :-)
i doubt i can make this, but i'd like to try to show up for the day to meet all of you nice folks; maybe get some driving range pointers while i'm a it... :-)

Sounds like Rob's worried he might not have anyplace to sleep when he gets to AC. Hehe.

About the only golf I've ever played is on a driving range and I don't have any golf shoes.
Although to play on such a prestigous course is tempting. Sounds like it's all coming together.

Sounding really good, I appreciate it!

Would you recomend slacks or dress shorts for the golf? All courses in America require the soft spikes now too, right? Back in the old days when I played golf we all used metal spikes.

Vernon, should I call the hotel yet for my reservation?

The scheduele is very loose, if it works for everyone I think we should have the golf start sometime around 11:00(very flexible) I was thinking that the later we start things the more time it allows for anyone coming from NY

The dress code is No jeans on the course but if you are just there to hang out with the cars and food you are OK.

The costs are as follows
Golf $88 (carts $25, drink station $8, golf $50)
Food and booze -To be Determined
Rob's Golf and food bill is on Me

For anyone planning on spending the weekend, you can play anytime you want and as much as you want

Rob I am in for Friday

Of course I'm in. Let me know if anyone wants to go out to eat Friday night and then hit the casino. I'll bring the sticks, but no laughing. After only playing once a year for the past 15 I'll either hit my drives 280 down the middle or 2 feet. Probably more the later than earlier.

Here are Rob's flight details

arrive: ACY Atlantic City 05/09/2003 04:52 PM
depart: ACY Atlantic City 05/11/2003 02:13 PM

The golf is going to take place on saturday at

www.gallowaynationalgolf.com

This course is well known and should be great for all levels of golfers.

Vernon - if you could post the times you would like the golf festivitives to start and the particulars (cost, dress codes etc etc) it would be great.

The plan is after golf to head over to AC for some fun. I beleive Vernon has some rooms blocked out at Ceasers for Fri and Sat.

Lets get a confirmed count of people, in the old threads it looked like we had over 20 people, if you are bringing a friend please state so. Lets make this a great event and show Rob a good time. It is his hard work that makes this website what it is.
