So its not that hard to install? The TL Type-s could use some before the hood gets all full of chips, due to the shape (ALOT of owners compain about this), havent seen any on the car i drive becasue i dont tailgate.
If i were to have someone install the full package, how much should i expect to pay?

It's not rocket science... when I put larger tires all around and rear wheel spacers, I put 3M material on my lower rear quarters, and on the small lower panels behind the front wheels. I've just put it on my front euro spoiler after I had it repaired and repainted a few weeks ago. And all that from raw material, not even pre-cut, so I had to make my own patterns.

Sure, pay someone else to do it if you want. I pay other people to do lots of things I *could* do myself if I wanted to take the time and energy. But don't pay someone else to put on StonGuard material just because you think it's a highly skilled technical effort... it's not.

UploadHey, if I can do it, almost anyone can do it.

Pete did you get in touch with Pepe?

First class act..we did my front, wheel archs, mirrors and all the lights... took him darn near all day.

About 4 months later during a car show, he showed up do to some minor final detailing without me even asking....what a guy!

Excellent work and stands behind his work 100%..

Peter,
although you have some here that say try it yourself, I would pay the $250 to have it professionally installed. They course they take is a 3 day course trying all kinds of things on cars, why save $250 and have a shitty job. Just my 2c.

This site has installation instructions, pictures, and even free installation video tape for 3M Protection material (same stuff as StonGard). It's also where I buy my raw material if I want to apply it to a small area rather than purchase a pre-cut kit product.

Paul, no sweat, i was just wondering if you even got my email in the first place as there seem to be some problems with it...

i'm by Champion (now known as Bentley of Long Island) quite often and i'm almost positive it's in Woodbury; the most exciting thing in Huntington related to cars (at least, that i know of) is the new Porsche dealership... i'll try to give you a call tomorrow or the next day... :-)

its easy to use like Mike c. mentions until to get to a curved area. If anyone is interested, I have the number for the person that installs the Stongard for Shelton. Write to me to call during the day at 561-277-1206.

I've installed Stoneguard on my 308QV... the key is just keeping the undersurface wet with the alcohol and soap mixtures until you have the material perfectly positioned.
