Thanks for the info guys. I'm beginning to believe everything about a Ferrari is about 10% off. That's what makes them so great. |

Craig, about 10% off is the norm. The only way to calibrate it is to send the speedo itself off to a repair center like Palo Alto. The sender is on the passenger side of the trans. You need to use a deep socket as to not damage the wire lead. I took a short socket and cut a small piece out of the side of it for the wire to stick out. And I would recommend replacing the seal ring too. |

Craig, there is slight tolerances in the readins. Philip, if you stand behind the engine looking in on your left hand side you will se a small wire coming from the gearbox. Towards the bottom, this is where the whole thing starts. I presume the sending unit sits in there. Hard to get to. |

I've wondered about this process too. Is this to fix the speedo measuring the wrong speed? I did some testing the other day while out on the interstate. When the speedo says I'm doing 80MPH I was really doing around 74MPH. I would like to fix this if possible. I assume this incorrect speed effects the actual mileage. |
