Hans, I have always mounted mine low on the windshield and it works fine. I would be reluctant to "hide it" for fear of lost effectiveness. It is easily seen, but if you get pulled over, you can quickly disconnect and hide it. Dave |

Matt: We have a lot of hills around here. You could get a ticket going down some of them on a skateboard. |

WWOC installs remote radar systems all the time. They installed one in my Maser that includes laser and works really well. |

I could probably remote the box using Valentine's remote readout. However, hiding the box will negate the laser detection (semi-worthless anyway), and may impair the rear radar detection. Hmmm.... Maybe mount it on the ceiling of the car, near the windshield? That way it would be difficult to see externally. |

You can remote the box and put the display in the mirror. |

I'm not too concerned with the display, but rather the placement of the box itself. In a GT4, it becomes highly visible from the outside. |

There are people who can remote the display. For a price I've seen them etched into the mirror. |

A quick search of the archives give lots of kudos for the V1, but I didn't find mounting suggestions. It will be more obvious in my Pontiac, but I'm a little perplexed about the GT4. Problems: Up high, the mirror tends to interfere, forcing a left or right placement. Down low isn't maybe too bad, if placed facing under the wipers. However, reward 'vision' is restricted. With the severe slope of the windshield, the damned thing will stick out like a sore thumb from the outside, especially if placed under the mirror. Anybody come up with anything clever? |
