The front of the book claims: "The Restorer's Guide to all models 1974-94: 308 GT4, 308/328 GTB/GTS, Mondial, 348 series, 288 GTO and F40"

No 355, 360 or F50.

Well, Im in for a Ferrari :-) But not for several years though. And the v8:s seems to be the better choice for one with limited economy. So I think Ill buy the book and keep saving....

If you're in for a V8, it has a lot of information about the differences between the different production runs. I learned a lot which I used when looking for V8 cars

The 2.5 to 2.7 upgrade happened with the 90MY. Since this is a 92MY you're way clear of that. It should even have the ND alternator. Someone would have to clarify that one though.

those who wants to see F355 spider that Adrian talks about, go to http://www.autotrader.ca and search for Ferrari. I believe that it is 95 yellow/black F355 spider.

Adrian, if you are considering F355 Berlinetta too, check out the Autoforum. Ask for Louie!

How right you are Rikki! Here I am on a Friday afternoon, chatting with you guys instead of MAKING MONEY!!! My wife complains that I spend more time on the computer researching Ferraris than speaking with her...of course, if it wasn't Ferraris, it would be something else.

Adrian, these pictures are from the Caliber Show room, correct?
If so, I bought my F355 there. They were very good. I dealt with a guy named Tony. He was very honest with me, helped me find shipping (I live in Calgary)and I got exactly what I expected.

How funny is it that last week (maybe 2 weeks ago) you were saying how you could only get 1 Ferrari, and weren't totally sure at that. Now, you have one and want another already! It is a disease I tell you.

Thanks Rijk. By the way, how do you like your Daytona? Looks beautiful. Now that you've had it for a while, any advice/observations/regrets? Driving impressions?

You have to check the VIN number. Somewhere at 86xxx the engine management got upgraded form Motronics 2.5 to 2.7. (see Bleumel's book: The original v8's)

This just goes to show you that you really wanted a 348 to begin with. We (348 owners) tried to tell you. :-)

jk... I went through the same problem you did. I love the Dino and would love to have one.

't' stands for Trasversale [lit. transverse] referring to the gearbox arrangement.
'b' is for Berlinetta (coupe)
's' is for Spider (targa)

Hi Ron,
I am still undecided about what to do. WHart has suggested a number of wonderful options and I am doing my research now (as opposed to paying attention to business!)

I'd like the second one to be more powerful and perhaps modern, though a classic like a 330 GTC would be great! Problem is that we don't seem to have too many options to choose from in Canada, and prices are relatively high as a result. I am looking into the process of importing from the States.

The good news is that with the Dino, I am no longer so eager to get a car, as the Dino is so much fun!

Actually the 't' is the transversal transmission. The engine is actually mounted longitudinal.

The 's' is for spider and 'b' is for berlinetta just like everything else.

Adrian, did you recently win the lottery or something? You the man! This 348 looks great and in excellent condition. Your fly Dino looks great too!

DES, 't' stands for transverse due to the positioning of the engine. 'Targa' is a term for lesser cars. Ok, just kidding, no need to start a debate here.

Adrian - sweet...! Let us know how it goes...

i always wondered what the "t" stands for in "ts" or "tb", on the 348s; is it "targa"...?
