Mary Kate is one of those annoying twins my daughter watches on TV. Mary Kay is the late great pink Caddy lady who is driving Pink Caddy's in the Great Beyond! |

i only saw the silver enzo at the factory. you are not allowed to take pictures inside the factory gates, so i have no pictures. the rosso scuderia color is an interesting color and is the same color as the f1 cars (i believe for television broadcast purposes). it is a dark pinkish-red. it is not ugly, just different. |

When I was at the SEMA Show last fall, the Bridgestone booth had an ENZO, and the head engineer of the ENZO production line was there for the first two days, answering questions about the car. At that time, he said there were going to be three "special" ENZOs painted rossa scuderia, using the same "ink" that is used on the F1 cars... to save weight. These cars, he said, were going to Schumi, Barrichello, and Ross Braun. |

In a conversation with a dealer, they told me a story where a client wanted an "unusual" color combo (sorry, don't remember what the combo was) When the car came in, it was different than what was ordered. When they called Ferrari to tell them the car was made wrong, they were told in no uncertain terms that THEY (the dealer) got the order wrong - it should have been what was sent. Whoa. The dealer told me that Ferrari will refuse to make certain color combos at their factory if they don't approve of it. I wish I could remember what the combo was suppossed to be (it was for a 456), because I know I wasn't shocked or put off by it. But an interesting story nonetheless. |

I was in Muscat, Oman a while ago and saw a pink testarossa. I mentioned it to my hosts, and they said it must belong to one of the sultan's lovers! Yup, he's that way inclined, although he has several wives to keep up appearances. Rumour has it that he likes to shower his favourite "bodyguards" with fancy cars. Later on, I saw a bright purple Viper with royal (single digit) plates which supposedly also belongs to a favourite errr "bodyguard." Numerous people told me that they have seen a gold Diablo and a pink Countach--kind of glad I never spotted those cars! |

The Carrera GT is only "offered" in red, black, silver and yellow... supposedly. I wonder how much extra to get another color. I know Porsche will paint regular cars (as if any could be called regular) for about four grand... any color, as long as you have a sample.

Its not every day that a spinal tap reference makes it onto Ferrari-Chat and one of the few that aren't rude ("I call this my Mach piece it's called...") :-) I'm certain that the appropriate amount of cash can always overcome the initial "eet is not possible". Having now seen it in the flesh right next to an F50 the red is for me too orange - I'd have one in a deeper blood red - or even black (as my 360 is) for that stealth look when going 217mph. Dan |

Nice to hear that you visited the factory. Silver would be good on Enzo but Red is the best i think. I guess they didn't let you take pics. Did you also see the Enzo in white and Rosso Scuderia or just you were told about it? James i don't think that they offer those limited production cars in any color you want. Custom colors are a part of Carrozzeria Scaglietti Programme and it's not available for Enzo i think.

They'll make it in any color you want. Why wouldn't they? A friend is getting one in blue. |

maybe i am confused, but from all the advertising of the enzo, the factory stated that the car would only be produced in red, yellow and black. i was at the factory yesterday and there was a silver enzo that had just finished production. the tour guide joked that "you don't see a silver enzo, you don't see a silver enzo", and then told us that the silver was such a pretty color, but they also just complted an enzo in white and three in rossa scuderia (the new color available on the stradale). we were also told that it is expected that enzo production will conitnue for approximately two years more to meet the the 399 production total as cars were started in july for production. what i don't understand, is for the factory to say that they will only make the car in three colors how come they are making it in more than those colors? has anyone ever ordered a limited production ferrari and had the option of chosing a non-standard color?
