"There is a huge selection out there for the 348, and they are often times less money than OEM." Are any of these aftermarket wheels as light as the Ferrari Magnesium wheels? Are any of these aftermarket wheels as strong as the Ferrari Magnesium wheels? |

There's nothing wrong with the looks of the newer Ferrari wheels on older F-Cars but if you are going to spend over $2500 on a complete set of stock F-Wheels you'd be better off spending a little more for a better, lighter made wheels and you can still put the F-logo on the center caps like what I did on mine. |

I checked out ferraripartsexchange and they show the 355 wheels for about 2800.00 with center caps included. They are refurbushed wheels but i'm sure they look like new. I will call them on monday to check out availability. Thanks for the info. |

checkout www.ferraripartsexchange.com they have 355 rims for sale for less than $1500 a pop. I have the 355 rims on my car and like them much better than the 348 OEM, they feel better and more planted on the track. Plus personally I think they look much better, no matter what Jim says John Check my profile if you want to see what they look like on my car. |

wwoc wants almost $1500 dollars per wheel for the f355 rims. How much would the hre wheels be and what about the fact that they are not authentic ferrari wheels. Also if you were to put hre's on the 348 would the cavalino emblems still fit? |

Paul, Jeff Edison & I was talking about your car when we met up a couple of months ago. Both of us totally agreed what an amazing difference the 360 wheels made. I even said that Ferrari should do a anniversary model in 2005 to commemorate 30 years of the 308 based on the look of your car! Hell, Id buy one! I do think you have to be careful on certain cars though I couldnt imagine a 246 Dino with 360 wheels on it (doubt if they would fit anyway!) But your 308 with the 360 wheels just works I suppose it is all down to the timeless shape of the 308. Paul

Hey Jim, I think you are WRONG but then that's just my opinion. Think 83 QV with 2002 wheels.

I have to smoehow agree with Jim here although I think the 355 wheels on a 348 look good. If you spend dough to upgrade then go all the way with lighter wheels. If you plan on $2000 and more for the heavy 355 rims spend that on Speedline Challenge wheels and have some nice light rims. You can not believe the difference in weight.

Nothing looks worse than a newer models wheels on an older car. think 85 corvette with 02 wheels....stupid. If you want updated performance then buy speedline or HRE wheels and upgrade to the 18" wheels. Why not put 550 wheels or F40 wheels etc....because it looks stupid. |

Go with the 355 rims. They totally transform the look of a 348. It will be the best money you have ever spent! |

Christopher is right, when I changed mine to the HRE 545 18", they were not only overall 7lbs lighter per wheel but with the better tires, the car handled much better. Don't do the 360 wheels on the 348, it's out of place. |

I, too, think that the F355 wheels look great on a 348. However, if you are wanting to personalize the car, why don't you simply purchase aftermarket wheels. There is a huge selection out there for the 348, and they are often times less money than OEM. To answer your second question, the 18" wheels on my car give a little firmer ride than stock, but are not harsh by no means. Just my opinion, good luck.

Also one of the reasons I was considering the 360 wheels is that there about half the price of the 355's. I was told by wwoc that because the 360 is still in production the wheels are much less expensive.

How about the handling or ride difference between 17" and 18" wheels? |

I've seen a 348 with 355 wheels and a 355 with 360 wheels, both looked good, but I think a 348 with 355 wheels would look better than with 360 wheels. |

I'd use the 355 wheels. The 360 wheels have different dimensions, since the front tire on the 360 is narrower than that on the 355, with a wider rear than the 355. I don't know how that would effect the handling, but since the 348 and 355 are essentially the same car, I'd go with the 355 wheels. Art |

I know one person here has 355 wheels on his 348. They actually look really good. I am not sure how 360 wheels would look though... it seems like they would be a little much. |

Anyone have an opionion on how either of these wheels would look on my 348. Also if I go to 18" diameter, would the ride be to harsh? |
