Lawrence, Take your time and look around. There are some reat cars available right now. Which 308 are you looking for? This makes a difference. After yo have done you research and inspected the car and then bought the car, consider upgrading your wheels. I looked for a few years and then found myself buying a 348. Don't get too anxious, and like Greg mentionned check out some of the older threads. Good luck. Peter, Still looking forward to that Yosemite run. Hopefully this summer. V |

Hi Lawrence...Welcome to pre-FCar ownership! If you have the time to look (Like I did), you can find a few gems out there. Three months ago, I picked up my '77 Euro 308 from Ferrari of SF (Fresh off a trade they did with another customer) for $15.5K. It ran well and the body was extremely straight (Will somebody please swap their 5-stars for my gold Gottis?). Being able to do the work yourself is a huge bonus! I am currently going through this car, Major on the engine & carbs, gearbox rebuild and all new upholstery. I did not need to do all of this work, but at the price, I'll have an extremely sweet ride in another 2-3 weeks that I will not have to worry about for several years. Also, I checked out a '75 Dino on Ebay today for $18.5K. It looks pretty nice.....best of luck to you. This forum is about the only place you need to get great advice |

Also, you can find good 308GT4's in the high-teens to low-20's. Again, always get a PPI before consumating the deal. |

Lawrence, it all depends on the year and body style of the 308 you want. You can find 1980-1981 308s in decent shape (always get a PPI done first before handing $$ over!) for low-mid 20's. Fiberglass-carb GTBs in good condition will be higher, probably in the low 30's, late model 308QV's will be in the low-upper 30's. There are many, many, many, many discussions on this topic on this site. Use the search function and you'll have enough to keep you reading all night long. |

Hello All, I'm considering the purchase of an F Car simply because I'm able to work on the car myself. If it wasn't for that fact, I wouldn't consider it due to lack of funds in these hard times. What would be considered a fair price for a 308? Thanks! |
