Imagine turning up to a car show with an Enzo....and getting turned away! Bet that guy was less than pleased.

Great pics, Tim....esp. that backdrop shot of my TR! We left Allentown with a few clouds and a weather report of SUNNY....hit Moselem Springs in a downpour that never ended until about 4 pm. Not a great day for the detailing crew. Pietro does a great job with this show as well as the judging that Phil Tegmeirer oversees. The people were up and the food was great. The ride home was fast and in the sun! See you next year.

When you guys say "Nart spyder" are you referring to the Fantuzzi 250 (shown in the photos below under the tent)? When i think of a Nart spider, its usually the 275 gtb/4 "cut" version, ala the Thomas Crowne Affair.

The second Enzo was turned away as its showing was a surprise, as the owner was supposed to bring his F50. Algar did not want their Enzo to lose the limelight and threatened no more sponsoring if it didnt go away. I got a great pic of it being loaded right next to my M3.

Ken, nice car! Also that Mondial was a great. I was one of the Mondial judges and it was in terrific shape for its 49K miles

Erik, I got there about 12:30...I saw the Enzo on a flatbed on the way in, then I saw him leave...so it is my understanding that it was never on the show grounds....

Also agree the Enzo was overshadowed by the older cars....

I owe Whart a big thanks for sending the directions to me, unfortunately, I decided the weather wasn't going to make it a worthwhile trip. I had other things to do so it wasn't a big deal, but now that I see what the turnout was like, I wish I would have gone! Ah well, next year....

Yeah, we'll hook up next time TOMD!! Your buddy parked his 288 GTO to the left of the ENZO (when looking from behind), and to the right of the ENZO was an F40. Decisions, decisions, decisions...

Hutch

I actually was going to go but had something with the kids in the mid morning. I was pissed because the weather was so good but I guess out there it was not as nice. Glad to hear chuck made it with the GTO, next time.

WHART - Great time driving down with you and Mrs. Hart! Your Barchetta is gorgeous (I'm looking at that pic from Road & Track of your Barchetta being parked in your garage at night). Driving back sucked!!! I was stuck in traffic on 287 for an hour and a half!!
TOMD- Your buddy from Rowayton came down with his 288 GTO in the rain!! Whats a matta wich yous? We ain't good enough for ya?? Have to catch up with you next time!!
I think that is my TR in back of WHART in the picture. Either way, I was at the show with my TR.
Brother Bruce - I shot the sh-t with Frank P (MR. MIA) for a while at the show. He's still looking for a ride since selling his TR. Gave him your home # and told him to call you. He and the family are doing well and send their best wishes to you for a speedy recovery!!

Jordan,
I'm not sure but I can check when I get home. I was moving from the 512's toward the other side of the field and I started getting low on memory at that point so I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked. Lesson learned for next time though, bring a backup memory stick :-)

Hey guys,
I also went to the Reading show to admire the cars. I ended getting there around 2:00 or so and the rain let up about 45 minutes later. Apparently I missed a second enzo and maybe a few others that left before I got there. But what I was was definitely worth the trip (5+ hours). The closest Ferrari event venue to me (Rochester, NY area) is Watkins Glen and the glen rarely has a turn out like this so it was very cool to see. I wish the WWoC tech session and the Reading event were on different days, I would have loved to check out the McLaren, F50, and everything else that showed up there. Maybe next year :-) So, getting to the point of my message, I wanted to share the pictures I took. There are also 4 videos at the bottom of the list, the first three are of the Enzo and the final one is an F40 pulling away.

I'd also appreciate it if you didn't post this link on other forums so my bandwidth stays at manageable levels.

One final note, if anybody would like any of the pictures in a higher resolution let me know. They were all taken at 1600x1200, so feel free to private message with the file names of the ones you would like.

Here is a 375MM. The owner (center of the three people) drives the car just about every day and takes it every where he goes. He said that he takes it to the movies, TGI Fridays, etc. Hard to believe. Value of the car is about $4M. Our own W Hardt is on the left of the three people in the jean jacket.

Here are some pics I took today. I wanted to take more but the rain did not go over well with my camera. I finally met Bill Hart and met up with many other Fchat members. It was nice to see everyone again. Despite the rain, it was a fun day. Taking home a Platinum Award was the icing on the cake.

Here I am driving to Reading. My friend is in the Mondial 3.2 Coupe in front of me. I am in my 308QV.

I just realized i forgot to mention the ENZO the car looks awsome in person, and pictures really don't do the car justice. Up close it was amazing. Everything is carbon fibre. But, I agree with Hart the old cars really took away from the enzo. There was a 275 LWB coupe in yellow that was perfect, and that 288gto, next to the ENZO, which was next to the f40 only needed an f50 in that group to have the coolest line of Ferrari's.

I went to the show with my father and his friend and I have to tell everyone that even though the weather was bad there was still an amazing turn out 288,f40,275gts,550's,355's,308's, TR's,and 512m's. There was even a NART spyder. BTW Mr. Hart awsome black 550 barchetta the car looked great with the top down when you left. How hard is it to put that soft top in place? I had no idea there were that many F-cars in PA and NJ. There were even some from NY and Conn. I ran into a few f-chatters and even though the weather wasn't great it appeared as if everyone had a good time.

Somebody must have offended the water gods; it was a gorgeous day in NY when i started out, hooked up with Hutch as i crossed the Tappan Zee, and we sped south, in a westerly direction, into a giant black, looming cloud. The barchetta soon lived up to its name, but we got there without incident, spotting more than a few F-cars (a dark 250 GTE, a similarly dark blue 550, the usual assortment of 355 spyders [tops up, of course], and the odd 308 and 328 GTB). I must be regressing, because the car that thrilled me most on the way down was an impeccable white 61 Malibu station wagon, with what appeared to be its original owner behind the wheel.
I didn't bring my waterproof camera, so hopefully, someone better equipped than me took the requisite pics. Best car, hands down, a 375 MM spider, small, bulbous and sooo aggressive. Owner was a mench, bought the car years ago, and has just been at it ever since. The 250 Fantuzzi that seems to live near Phila. was there, as was a brilliant old cabrio, courtesy of Oscar Davis. The obligatory Enzo in red was, to me, overshadowed by these old cars. There were Vespas for sale, endless electric accordion music and the usual assortment of characters, including one guy, draped in a Ferrari blanket, looking just like Guido Sarducci, smoking his cigarettes Russian style. Let's hope they have better weather next year.
