Rodent repellent! There is a rather annoying noise generator which it seems only the mice and I can hear. It emits a high frequency which they prefer to stay away from. It is a small stand alone unit which plugs into 110V. Simple, effective.

William, congrats on such a great collection of cars. Anyway, since cats may not be car friendly and you're not so keen on sending the mice to an early demise. I have the perfect solution for you... look in the papers for the next reptile show and go buy yourself several Corn or King snakes. The babies so for about $25-100 each and the grown ones may go for more than $100. The grown ones will eat about 1-2 mice a week.

Apart from the mice, its a really nice barn :) insulated, sheetrock, framed posters of supercars & chicks all over, alarm, I'm gonna see about a toilet, sofa & a big screen TV so I can have some car show/ parties on the lawn in front of my barn
Soon, when my cars r get out of the shop the barn will contain 2 512TRs ( 1 road & 1 race ) an 84 308GTS QV, 77 308 racer, 86 Lambo Countach 5000QV, 68 Vette roadster, 92 Mitsubishi 3000GTVR4, & my father's '34 Chevy pickup, oh & 2 cats :) maybe I'll call them Enzo & Porsche

Check Cavallino Feb/Mar 1990 #55, page 10 for a picture and letter of cats and Ferraris. Cats don't discriminate. While visiting my brother-in-law, their cat decided that the roof of my '88 Colt was a nice place for a nap. This car is red, Bret's car is red...hmmm, maybe its not the car but the red paint that they find some sort of attraction?

I just noticed this, William is living proof of a Ferrari-in-a-barn story.

Plus if a cat cets caught in your fan belt when you start your engine, well, let's just say he ain't fit to eat.

I was never really one to discriminate against cats, you know they seemed pretty nice. That was until my neighbor's decided that the warm engine of a certain 308 was his favorite place to sleep. He would curl up right near the back windshield over the grills that radiate all that engine heat. When I would leave the Ferrari outside for a few minutes (if I was going back out again) I would always come back to find muddy pawprints (luckily he's declawed), that match that rossa corsa paint so very well, all over the place and see a white flash disappear into the bushes. This was when I started to hate cats. After a few times of being sprayed with the hose and having various objects thrown at him, my neighbor's cat got the idea and I haven't seen him since. Don't get a cat, they have some sort of anti-Ferrari instinct. Get some mouse traps. They're cheaper, you don't have to feed them, they don't leave that horrible smelling excrement, and they'll do the job right. I could see how you might want to not kill them, but if it was a couple mice or il Cavallino Rampantante, which would you pick? And poison gets messy and makes the place off limits to children and pets so I'm not a big fan of that either. That's just my two cents.

Do not keep any kind of food around your car especially dog food. I see car wiring and vacuum hoses eaten up almost weekly by vermin. It is good for my business but is often a difficult repair because usually the customer states that the car was running fine when it was parked and now is skipping or running rough or won't start at all and the wiring can be cut in a place that would never have given a problem otherwise.

I have to store my cars in my garage/barn all winter & there r a few mice in it. I dont like the idea of traps or poison cus I'd hate to kill the little buggers. Thinking of adopting a pair of cats & give them room & board in my garage in exchange for frightening or gobbling up the mice. What do u do to keep Mickey from gobbling up Enzo?
