Richard, yes, I'm in Wilmington. I live near Concord Mall.

Perhaps our own area exotic car meet sometime?

bruno: more info on the new garden pa event please. would like to attend

alex: yes i am in wilmington you ?

dr. ken: two things on that car on ebay first most bidding is done durring the end of the auction it is a 41 now but could end much higher as there are two days left. also there are active bidders. this has a tendency to create a false sence of security for others looking. they think "if this many people are bidding the car must be ok" or "what do they know that i dont" they expect others to have done there homework. these factors could run the number up in the end. keep an eye on it. I was able to use the buy it now option for my purchase.

second if car fax shows damage that will show up when you sell the car. so that is not a good thing for any vehicle. i would stay away from unless it was a steal or you never intend to sell it.

Reading the description, the car was in an accident and the milage is not actual. Most people shy away from a car with stories. However, this car probably will be pretty good deal.

Here is a low milage one with reserved met at $41k (and from a dealer too!). My goodness the market is really soft. I wonder how low can they get?

Craig: To buy stocks right now, with after tax dollars, is fullish.

I buy stocks to the max, in my retirement, only because it is deductible, and I am in the same boat as everyone else. There are no options.

But, to buy a Ferrari, and think that one is not going to loose is absolutely NO investment at all.

I would rather buy the stocks, or land, home, etc......but certainly no Ferrari, at market value.....at this time.

Bruno, how about some more info about the New Garden show?

Richard and Scotty, where are you guys in Delaware...Wilmington area?

Service, I don't have one, but like Scotty says, I've heard good things about Algar. I also ran into a guy with a 308 that had his work done at Westtown European (or Westtown Import).

These same people are the ones that buy stocks with money that can't afford to loose. It's a shame... maybe we should start a screening process like when adopting a child. :-)

Craig: I agree with you.....you don't have to sell. However, lets face it.......most American people buy what they can't afford to keep. So, when it is time to sell, they take a loss....big time.

How many Ferrari owners pay cash for their cars, with extra money just lying around?

To me, that is the ONLY way to buy a Ferrari.

I was trying to sell my TR.......however, most people who wanted to buy it......wanted to steal it. I took it off the market.

Thank God I make the money to afford to do it......but many people can't. They just bought something that they could NOT afford.

And people don't have to sell so low. I agree it is a buyer's market right now. Owners of 348s have to realize that there aren't that many out there and they should be demanding more for such an awesome car. JMHO. :-)

I feel the market is dropping, on ALL current Ferrari's. Why not? The economy is un-predictable, and people with money want to just steal the car.

What is wrong with that?

Congrats to the buyer for getting a great deal!

In my experience most Ferraris on eBay DO NOT sell..Very few Ferraris with low bargain prices get moved and almost always never a dealer car...The person who purchased the white 348 was smart to purchase this car at $40. He saw an opportunity and grabbed it. I'm willing to bet that there won't be another 348 on eBay for such a low price for a while...Good for him.

The market for the 348s is "soft" right now, but not that low. In my opinion $45 - $50K is the low end of the early 348s (despite what the Ferrari market letters and Forza price quides tell you). A 348 below $40K in good condition is a bargain, unless of course it needs a lot of work. Let's not forget that mostly due to bad press, the 348 cars are not getting the respect and resale value they deserve...That's a different topic all together. I have seen a few prestine Ferrari 328 cars even sell at or ABOVE $40K on eBay!!
Go figure! Supply and demand I guess...

Richard - Algar Ferrari, their parts guys are sweethearts. They hook me up with discounts, and even when I walk up for nit-picky little parts, they take care of me. 1st class fellas! Their service dept. also did my 30 k service and fixed some wiring issues. Also top notch in my opinion.

Bruno, is this show at the New Garden Airport? Thanks!

Hey, a fellow Delawarian and 348 owner! Congrats! And just in time for summer. I think you made VERY good buy. It looks really nice in white! Maybe I'll see you on the road! Drive it and love it.

Scotty

P.S. Best bang for the buck improvement in my opinion... I punted the 2 muffler system and installed a Stebro muffler and euro resonators. All I can say is.... Damn! In fact, the sun is shining, I think I'll go for a ride right now. Later!

hi this is odd. this is my second time to this site and i think you are talking about the car i JUST BOUGHT. If you are talking about the one offerd for sale from celebrity cars in las vegas. I will clarify some things A.it ended early because i used the buy it now feature 8hrs before the auction was over. B. according to the work history included with the car most services were complete within the last two years including the clutch...although done by a independent in las vegas and not a dealer. C. Car fax checked out 100% D. hired a independent inspector to check it out in my absance he was only unhappy with the performance of the A/C so that is a wild hare. E. God i love the WHITE and i can not (did i say can not) wait to get it. hope i was not to lengthy and if you were not talking about this car i bought this one anyway. thanks

not cost feasable. $7K to do it right and you always have lower value for non-original paint.

I agree with Gary here. The price would be great if the car has the following:

- 30K service done or the 15K in the last 2 years
- would not be white but almost any other color. Although I have to admit this car looks great since the lower skirt is painted. They should have done the roof as well thoughj. shame!

$40K is not a reasonable price for a white 20K miles 348TS. This car should have brought $ 45K. But with the pending service it pretty much it $45K.

Also the auction was ended eerly from what it looks like.

I see two things that would relate to the low price. 1- It's a WHITE Ferrari, not resell RED. 2- It's time for an engine out major service ($3,500-$5,000+)including belts, clutch, etc.

Never trust "private bidder" auction. Probably a shill bidder buddy of the seller trying to get something going.

Somebody got a hell of a deal from the looks of it (if you ask me). A CarFax might expose something. Personally... good luck getting into a quality 348 for $40K.

>>>$40k is actually a typical price for a 1990 off Red 348. Good car for a good price!<<

agree..

pretty much spot on.

I've got a 90 in for work right now, Black-Tan..real darn nice car..asking is $45K.

FML is the asking price and very high at that. Most are dealers and thus perfect cars, perfect history, for the perfect high asking price.

$40k is actually a typical price for a 1990 off Red 348. Good car for a good price!

Looking at the market letter it says a 348TS on average is around $60k. Any reason in particular that this one on ebay sold for $39,999 that you can tell? Is it an earlier model? Doesn't seem to have high mileage or any problems.

New to ferrari shopping, so just looking for some clarification. Looks like a nice deal to me!
