Andrew, Nice to meet a fellow M5 owner and future F car owner. The event in question was a track event and all passing has to be done before the braking zone. There was a white BMW entering from the pit lane and he was on the inside in the braking zone so I backed off. Good luck with your 348 search. Let me know when it arrives. Regards, Jon P. Kofod

John, Thanks for pointing me to F-Chat. Great Videos! Curious about the "355 Chase" video. You caught the other 355 behind a Viper and then looked like you were setting him up a pass along side but then backed off. I talked with Ralph today about searching for a 348. Hopefully I will be able to get one before the next Ferrari event. FerrariChat looks like a great resource for potential owners. Thanks again, very nice meeting you last week at Ferrari of Washington. Andrew |

I revised my site and put in some new in car videos including the near miss of the Porsche GT3 episode. I used a differrent recording format so the clarity of the videos seems a bit less than the first batch but I also used a wide angle lens which shows steering and shifting inputs. Here is a sample video of a three lap chase with another well driven 355 Challenge at Summit. We ran nose to tail through traffic: http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/videos/jon355c/355chase.mpg All the new videos can be viewed at my Challenge website under the "videos" section on page 2. Flatout Racing Website: http://neverlift.homestead.com/flatout.html Direct link to 355 Challenge website: http://f355.homestead.com/index.html Special thanks once again to Rob L. for gernerously hosting my videos and taking the time to post them. Note if you are at work you may want to turn off (or down) your speakers as loading either one of the above web pages loads an F1/355 sound file. As always, not for the bandwidth challenged. You will need something other than a 56K dial up connection for most videos. Regards, Jon P. Kofod 1995 F355 Challenge #23 |
