Des, I can't believe that "Stramman Testarossa" was really a C4 Corvette kit, what a shame! Great meeting you by the way. |

Golf with the boss on Friday afternoon (after he bought me my first set of clubs Friday morning), exquisite dinner with a wonderful woman on Saturday night and my biggest car event to date, on Sunday...! i had a great weekend; met some really awesome people and even managed to acquire a 1:18 Ferrari 250 GTO (#24), complete with a paintjob indicative of a raced vehicle... Very busy today, but more details will follow, later... Also, for those of you who think a thread is worthless without pictures - don't fret...! i have just under 200 shots from WWOC...! Rob, i'm putting a check in the mail for some extra bandwidth, right now... Very special thanks to James Glickenhaus, Kenny Herman and the extremely friendly folks at Wide World Of Cars (Bob, Mike, Sal, etc.) Quotes from the weekend: "You wanna go play nine holes right now...?" "Jen... drinks for Carbon and the young lady are on the house." "What is this, an old Viper...?" "Holy crap, it's an automatic - it's a kit car...!" "Yeah, but this car tops out at 110 - you steadily pulled away from me at 125..." |
