I think the Stradale is to be compared to the GT2 and not GT3. The wheight to power ratio of the Stradale is even better than the GT2!!! We will have to wait for some track comparasons but defenetly the Stradale, at least in paper, is much more competitive than the GT3... |

Perhaps...but I will bet $1 that the GT3 will be more reliable...

I agree with James , i have seen both and heard the Stradale @ SPA and i think the Ferrari is more special..even a regular 360 would be . As for the Stradale being faster/slower , we will have to wait for a track comparo. Porsche usually have the upper hand on track , esp around the Ring where they are Tuned but this Stradale has a very impressive spec sheet ..

Rob, thanks for your "generosity"! You obviously picked up on my great love for tree sap while watching me finish washing the 550 on Saturday afternoon!!! Did they leave the Bird's keys? If not, I, um, may have some kills, um, hot wiring it... Jim, thanks...but I am not a huge fan of turbocharged cars... |

Forget the GT3 if someone wants a GT2: New euro Federalized with cermic brakes and sport seats, on truck to NY at a very good price let me know and I'll put you in touch with my friend who owns it. Depending on offer he's either going to sell it or keep it. As to Jon's question. Having seen the Stradale I think it's (for me) much more special than a GT3. Best Jim |

Dave, plenty of garage space up here in Southlake. 1.4 acres of fine grassland and 100+ sapping oak trees. Funny, but I have a few friends that just drop stuff off and I don't even know about it. I showed up Thursday and in the back of the property was a unrestored Superbird. |

I am considering a GT3. Not sure if I will order one, however, due to current logistical (garage space) issues. Unfortunately, US GT3's will NOT be available with the partial cage & racing-oriented seats available in Europe... |

Wondered if anyone here is considering one over the other. A friend called me last evening from Germany and had just test driven a GT3 extensively for a day. He used to own a 355 GTS and has been in my Challenge car many times here in the US. He said he can't imagine the 360 Stardale being a better car based on the on-paper comparisons. He is hoping to take delivery of a GT3 in two weeks. He only had the car up to about 125 but noted that it felt much faster off the line than the 355 (both cars have around 380-385hp). Car and Driver quoted 0-60 in 4 flat and the 1/4 mile in 12.3 which is pretty darn fast. My friend also noted that the suspension seemed much more track oriented to the point where it may not need any modifications to offer similar performance to a 355 C. He said the suspension went way beyond the usual Porsche "Sport" suspension that is offered on most of its cars. Anyone here looking at a GT3 or Stradale? Just curious. I have been critical of Porsche for a long time for offering the US "powder puff" versions of it's cars. It appears that the new GT3 might finally be a car that can be driven to the track and do well both places (street and track). Regards, Jon P. Kofod 1995 F355 Challenge #23
