I had Pepi install the stonegard yesterday. He did an awesome job. Is right here in the Boca area and is a trained Stonegard installer.

It took 4 hours to install and when I came there I thought he still had to do the front bumper. The product was already on it. It is amazing how well this blends in. You can barely tell unless you look for it.

Here is Pepi's number: cell: 561-313-6101 He is great, takes his time and does the job right.

This product is a must. After re-painting the bumper 2 times I have had it with rock chips.

I have stonegard on one of my cars. It is barely noticable. You do see it when you wear polarized glasses or when you look at it up close. I've had it on for about a year and a half and I haven't seen any yellowing or anything like that. It seems to be doing the job because you can see some gouges in the stonegard that don't appear to have hit metal.

I've got a white/tan '87 328 that I picked up on Aug 8. I have the same 'garage' problem. I can't seem to stay out. My wife told me she's never seen me clean so much! I always have out my Griots Speed Shine and a soft cloth. I need to take it in for the 30k service, but can't seem to part with it.

Congratulations guys!

Ive had my red 86 328 GTB for three months now, and the thrill of ownership shows no signs of wearing off. I work in Manhattan, so theres no possibility of driving to work, but I do go and check on my baby every night, (when Im not driving her around).

Mine is a Red/tan GTS. I too go to the garage, turn on the lights and just look at it. I drove it to work again today, taking back roads instead of the Interstate. A great way to start the day!

Congrats to you Charles and to you Patrick!

I do not take her out if it is raining but then it does not rain down here that much anyways. If I get caught in it, so be it, as long as the Top is not in the garage (like last night).
I took her for a last spin before she will disappear to get the 30K service (at 32K Miles)today. I will also have the Stonegard film put on the car today. So the last trip for this month will be to the mechanic.

Charles,

I own a red GTB.

I had the same problem. One of the hoses that leads from heater just behind and to the left of radiator was disconnected. Could that be your problem?

Hi Charles,

Congratulations on your "new" car. I too am new to Ferrari ownership. I picked up my 1987 328 GTS a week ago today. Fortunately, we had beautiful weather this past week so I've had ample opportunity to drive it. I knew I'd enjoy that part of having it but I'm surprised at how excited I am to just own the car. I find myself in the garage all the time now! A couple of evenings ago I went out before bed and just sat in it for 15 minutes. I LOVE this car.

What color is your 328?
GTS or GTB?

My plan is not to intentionally drive in the rain, but I will not agonize if I get caught in it. I did drive it to work today. So far the only real problem that has surfaced is that the heat control on the driver's side doesn't work. I haven't started to look for the problem yet, don't need heat now. The AC works good! So maybe I'm lucky. I need to fix the heater before winter though. Really enjoyed driving in this morning!

Congrats, Charles!

I dont intentionally take her out in the rain, but I've been caught in big storms. After a good washing, I cant tell the difference. Are there any problems you've noted with your car so far?

Welcome to the joys of Ferrari.
Don't let the rain stop you every time. Lethargic wipers aside, they are great to drive at any time. I got over the 'no driving in the rain' by getting caught in a thunder storm after a concours event.

I am a new Ferrari owner, having driven Porsches for over 25 years. Last week my 328 arrived from Minnesota, where it spent its first 13 years and 5,100 miles. This car must have spent 95% of its time indoors. No more! I intend to drive it. Not daily, but several times a week (on non-rainy days). I spent many hours this long weekend, cleaning and examining it. It is now ready to make its debut. But rats, its raining today.
