The purpose Martin? Exercise to be able to fit in that Ferrari in the garage! I was getting a little long in the waist. Besides, it's mostly an Italian bike. Actually put more miles on the bike than I do the car.

BTW, was watching the CART qualifying at Long Beach and Paul Tracy said he now rides a bike to lose weight and lighten the load in the car.

I don't get it?

When I was 2 I had a tri-cycle, so I would not have to walk!

When I was 4 I have a bicycle, so I would not have to walk!

When I was 18 I had a Motorcycle, so I would not have to walk!

When I was 20 I had a car, so I would not have to walk!

What is the purpose of jogging or bicycle riding when you have a perfectly good Ferrari in your garage?

James, I know exactly how you feel. I was in the process of moving from VA to FL. It was 6 weeks from the last time I saw my F-car to the day it was delivered. The day it was delivered and I finally got to drive her again, I had a smile painted on my face for days!

Excercising is hazardous to your health. I have never broken a limb on my sofa.

Well, after nearly 8 weeks I got back behind the wheel of my 308 GTB. On Feb. 17 I touched wheels with another bicycle rider in a paceline and went down hard at 24 mph. I ended up with a fractured hip (fractured in 3 spots) at the ripe age of 32. Up until now I haven't had enough strength in the left leg to push the clutch in. But this morning I hopped in my 308, took a deep breath and smelled the wonderful smells the car has. The car hasn't been started in 2 months and I left the battery connected. Took about a half dozen tries but she started up fine and off I went, with crutches in the passenger seat (still can't walk like a normal human). I sorely missed the smells and sounds of that car. Been driving a friggin' Nissan Quest minivan (automatic) on loan from my parents. Of course, the doc told me not to drive sticks yet, but screw that! I was getting cabin fever.

If I break something else, I'll seriously have to consider an automatic Ferrari so I won't have to go so long without driving one next time.
