All, It seems that the only way to ABSOLUTELY confirm this is to just give it a try. So I'm buying Steven's grill and we'll wait and see. I'll let eveyone know how it goes. I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for their time and help on this. I really appreciate it due to my current location (in Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo A.K.A. Prison) and lack of resources. Take care and be safe. Thanks again, Jesse |

Jesse, The 2V and 4V have different exhausts; your 2V has 2 long pipes that connect to the headers. The 4V's have 2 short pipes. I discussed this with the tech guys at Ansa in GA. Also, the exhaust tip spacing is different too; the tip cut outs in the diaper may not fit. If the Euro 4V exhaust is similar to the US, then I think you may be out of luck. I would check with Steve on the exhaust configuration. |

After looking at the diagrams again, it appears that the grilles are slightly different between the 80/82 308 and the 82/85 QV models...yet the parts manuals state the same part numbers...go figure. My '85 QV has the insulative plates that I alluded to in the previous reply. |

Jesse...I could be mistaken, but thought that the Euro cars didn't have the exhaust grille covering silencer (as shown in the photo you posted below)....thought this was a USA version item only (?)....unless it was modified upon import. At any rate, the part number for both the 80-82 308 GTBi/GTSi USA and the 82-85 308 QV USA exhaust "Grille Covering Silencer VER/US" is #60705000. Just for reference, here are a few TAV Parts Diagrams.... 1980/82 308 GTBi/GTSi USA Version:
1982/85 308 QV USA Version:
1982/85 308 QV EUROPEAN Version (**notice the lack of exhaust grille):
And finally, the Exhaust Parts Diagram TAV101-102 for the 1982/85 308 QV EUROPEAN Version:
Hope this helps. BTW, the grille/diaper has two square panels at the top corners which consist of outer metal plates with some sort of insulative metal material (sort of like steel wool) sandwiched inbetween, and riveted to the grille. These plates are prone to rusting, and would probably need to be fabricated with some sort of replacement plates. Other sources for used grilles might be TRutlands or www.ferraripartsexchange.com , in case you have to look elsewhere. |

Just curious...can anyone confirm that a Euro QV exhaust grill will fit on a 2V 308 with no modifications? I'm trying to find out what part number it is (QV version) and whether it's the same as the 2V part number. Thank you, Jesse |

Philip, Thanks for the backup. I'm just waiting to confirm that a Euro QV exhaust grill will fit on a 2V 308 with no modifications. If so, I'm definately going with Steven's part. Thanks, Jesse |

Jesse, If you mean the black grill (diaper), i have one for sale cheap. Make me an offer. In fact, it can come with a stock exhaust for a Euro 308QV if you want that as well. Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

Hello, My 81' Ferrari 308 is currently at Brian Stewart's shop in Indianapolis for a tune up. It didn't come with an exhaust cover and I am trying to find a used one. Does anyone know where I can buy a used 308 Exhaust Cover? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you, Jesse Hoffman US Army Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo |
