My Diablo is loud when I romp on it and I worry that a 5.0 may hear me coming before seeing me flying by. |

For those who do not know, the name Magoo I use here is the name of our bird, a Molucan Cockatoo, we call him Mr. Magoo. It is also used in our e-mail address. Andrew thats the kind of bird it is. They are vibrant pink in color and a bright orange crest. Stands about 15 inches high. Oh and Martin if you ever heard this SOB scream you would know it was him wailing. |

Once when a cop pulled me over to check out the car and make sure it wasn't stolen, etc, I was up at a night car show which is mostly stupid teenagers that drag race their ghetto cruisers. He commented on how loud it was, and I said officer it's straight from Ferrari, has cats (hehe maybe a white lie), and just barely makes it decible wise. He knew it was too loud obviously but was cool about it and said no problem then, have a good night. My car shakes the whole house when I start it up in the garage. One time when I came home at like 2 in the morning I had the 308 idling outside because my stupid sister parked in front of my garage (she's an idiot) so I had to run inside and move her car, well needless to say the kid that lives 4 houses down (pretty far away) walked over. He said oh I was sleeping with my windows open and woke up so I figured I'd come say hi. I was like lol, sorry. |

Has anyone ever received a ticket for excessive noise? I know some kids with riceburners who have been ticketed, and my 308 is a LOT louder. |

I get it all the time and I have the stock exhaust. I saw a neighbor the other day as I was coming home and pulled over to chat. His last comment was "can this thing BE any louder"? Sure it can, it was only idling! I took a friend out for a beer the other night and as I drove up to his house about midnight I slowed down a few houses away. He said "Don't worry, my wife can hear you anyway." I went to an event Friday night at a local hotel and let the valet park it. He said "It will be my pleasure to keep it right up front for you sir". As we walked in to the hotel I stood by the entrance and listened to be sure he parked it where he said he would and waited until he turned it off. I couldn't see it, but could hear it! |

Hey Fred, funny you should mention that. I am in the process of getting a custom system made for my 84 308 QV. I think the car needs to be louder! Hell, you cannot be too stealthy in a Ferrari anyways, might as well announce yourself! Besides, I heard a Mondial QV with a Borla and it sounded incredible! My ex girlfriend thought my car was too loud, and it was totally stock!! HA! |

Fred, tell your sister to get better windows. I set off alarm systems in a parking garage and I have the stock exhaust. Especially when the car is cold and the by-pass is open. The car is very loud for the first 3 minutes then all of a sudden the exhaust closes but the bass vibration remains.

My garage is under my dinning room and all hell brakes loose when I start my 308 QV. When I start the car the entire house vibrates and the dog starts to howl and run upstairs. No wonder my wife hates the Ferrari. |

I came in from a drive today and my sister was at my house using my computer. When I came in she asked " why do the windows shake when your car pulls up?" I replied simply "because it's awsome." She then informed me that she thought when I came to her house and the windows rattled she thought it was just because they were old, but that my windows were new and they rattled also. My wife then chimed in her agreement about the car being loud. I just smiled. I have an 83 qv with a borla. Anyone else get this kind of feedback? |
