In early August I was driving my Ferrari through Utah, and wound up in a canyon right in the middle of a forest fire. We watched the planes flying over our heads to make their drops. It was pretty amazing. Me with no camera. "Here I am in my Ferrari with a forest fire in the background". |

I was i idaho last year rafting down the salmon river while there were fires. Those were the same fires as the ones in montana. at the end of the 7 day trip when we got closer to the fires the river valley was filled with smoke and visibility wsa limited to a half mile. I saw a huge camp of firefighters on the way out. They werent worried too much becuase there was nothing around to burn down. When i was in Salmon idaho, ash was falling out of the sky, it was like snow almost. On the flight out we flew right over the fires. |

Mark, thanks to guys like you these fires are kept in place. I think it is super brave to get into this line of work. The picture is awesome. Did you take this yourself? |

I posted a neat picture of the fires in Montana under my profile. For some reason I cannot put any pics here. |

The Diablo is a very pretty car. Good made and very very powerfull. My mechanic is a lic. Lambo repair shop, factory trained. He gets them all the time. I sat in many before and am impressed with the car as well. It is a masterpiece. Eventually I hope to add one to my collection as well. They come down in price as well. You can get early models as low as $100K. Glad to see you made it back safe Mark! |

Diablos look really exotic, but they dont have wthe same look as a ferrari. Its like what peter said before, theyh are slim and curvacious. I was at wide world of cars and i just stared at a 288 GTO, 550, and a 355 for 45 minutes while i was digesting my food from planet wings. And not only the outside is amazing. I looked at the inside od a 456 and i was amazed by the crafstmanship. Everything was leather, everything. It must have taked a long time for someone to do all that meticulous sewing. When i see a diablo i say to myself, wow, thats a nice car, i wish i had one. But when i see a ferrari i say to myself, wow, thats a noce car, i need one (while im thinking of how nice it would be to go rev each gear out on a deserted road). |

Yeah Peter I always got that feeling too, it's the bull rather than the prancing horse. And then there's that huge V12 to make it a true beast of a car. I've only seen a couple Diablos, but they always seem to have a macho guy driving them. Nevertheless, good work Mark for protecting the Ferrari name and straightening your daughter out while she's still young. |

I always felt the Diablo to be much more of a butch-kinda car compared to a Ferrari. The Ferrari's shape is slim, curvaceous, elegant, very easy on the eyes. |

My daughter is the only female to drive my TR. But she is pretty cool and level headed. She feels the TR has too much "Testosterone" built into it. Wants me to sell and buy her a Lambo - Diablo. She claims it has much more "female" sex appeal. So I bought her a VW Jetta, then grounded her! |

Hey, when I had my GTB, I did not let any ordinary 'man' drive it. (except Dom, my friend mechanic). DINA FOR PRESIDENT . |

I guess I am lucky that my wife doesn't want to drive my 348. She does however, love to ride in it with me driving. On our mini-rallys she has attended every one and is disappointed we can't make it this weekend. I and the mechanic are the only ones that drive "my toy". I figure as much as it costs to get it fixed when its broke then I am the only one who is going to drive it. Dan |

My wife drove the 348 on the track in Sebring this spring, she drove the NASCAR experience and she is allowed to drive the F-car every day she wants. I think a woman looks sexy behind the wheel of a Ferrari. Should have the smarts though to know what the hell she is driving. Competition I don't know. But then nobody else is allowed in my car but her and my mechanic. |

A female Clinton?? Hmmm, I wonder if I'm too old to be an intern... Of course, if she more resembles Donna Shalala than Heather Locklear, I suppose I'm glad I'm too old. If my wife really wanted to drive my 308, my relationship is more important than the car. I have let others drive my Ferrari. I always ride along, and I know where the handbrake is... |

I agree about the female President. I am tired of voting for the lesser of the two evils. Please don't let it be another Clinton though. |

I really allow almost no 1 to drive my cars, If Shirley Muldowney, or Michelle Mouton asked nicely I might consider their requests |

Hey guys, You probably aren't going to like what I say but why do we feel we are the only sex that can drive a Ferrari in competition or any where else for that matter. Is it the ego thing, male dominance or just can't visulalize a woman behind the wheel of a Ferrari. This kind of thinking is narrow as well as not fair. I know this is a dangerous area to approach with some of you guys but I'm the kind of a guy who believes a woman should receive the same pay as a man for the same type of work. Now I grant you that you have the right to allow or not allow certain people to drive your car. But if a woman was qualified the same as a man why wouldn't she be as good as he would be behind the wheel on the track? If you would like to further crucify me, I think It's high time we had a woman President. Got to be better than what our choices have been recently. |

OK William your message has gotten me on the net. There are a number of great women drivers out there. I have driven everything from an F50 to a NART spyder on the track without even a hint of trouble. Our FCA Florida Region has a number of excellent female drivers. One of us would be happy to give you a ride and display our skills. By the way, my former track car was a first place FCA national concours winning TR! |

That lady in my town with the 355 spyder broke down at like 10 at night last week so I stopped to help her out (she's really hot too), it turns out that her battery was dead so she got it towed. I would have just replaced the battery but I guess it's different when you barely know what model car you have (she couldn't remember which one she had before this one but after a description i realized it was a 355 berlinetta). It's cool that she has a ferrari though, not many women are ambitious enough to drive one. |

Some guy called Ed let his wife/girlfriend drive his 250 GTO on Moroso race track during the Cavallino Classic. There is NO woman on this planet I would allow to drive my 512TR on the track. |

This forum is predominately male. We all love to drive our Ferraris. But how about you female owners, or wives or girlfriends of Ferrari fanatics? The first time my wife got behind the wheel of my 308 she wanted to drive like a bat out of hell. She loves driving the car for the rush it gives her. |
