Hey Rob, here's your opportunity to expand the online store! Get a Sparco or Piloti distributorship and sell them online. |

I recently bought a pair of Pilotis. LOVE EM! Just ordered a second pair in brown with velcro straps. Most athletic shoes have wide expanded soles and keep hitting the other pedals as you shift your feet. Especially on our cars where the pedals are small and close together. Even worse on my Merak where I was always hitting the brake while accelerating(really bogs down under power this way). |

I'm going to get a pair of the Piloti "Monaco Pro5" shoes. www.piloti.com Supposedly comfortable for walking around all day as well (unlike many racing shoes). Having the rounded heel is crucial. In summer I often drive barefoot though. |

I'm doing the Skip Barber race school next week, and they suggested I get a pair of wrestling shoes to wear for driving their formula trainers. I picked up an inexpensive pair of Aisics and tried them out yesterday in a drive in my old Mangusta. It's got a very tight footbox and pedals, and I found the wrestling soles were very nice - good feel and no edges to hang up on pedals. Just don't get the split-sole shoe design, as I'm told they do not work well for heel-and-toe driving. Anyway, at $39, you can't go wrong. (IMHO) |

i keep a pair of valleverde mocassins in the car, and always change into them while the engine is warming up at the start, then take them off when i put it back to bed. its the only way to go since there are no soles to get caught on pedals and the feel is great. think they must have a website. |

I take my shoes off. Leaves a smell in the car but I am direct in touch with the pedals and feel better in control.

Yes - those Fila shoes! William is the BIGGEST fan of them. I find them too hard to drive with. Seriously - a good driving shoe is soft - with a thin sole since you want to feel the pedals. If I'm to really drive I put on my Simpson or Momo race booties. I will use soft loafers at times too. I finally stopped going barefoot when I had to drive dressed up - waaaaay hard to heel/toe with heels but I think I've mastered it. |

after recently purchasing my 88 TR, my size 10 sneakers are constantly interfering with the clutch, brake , and accelerator pedals, after reading some ferrari chat about "special driving shoes" and me laughing about it, its really true, you need them.. after speaking to someone on line, he recommended fila shoes.Does anyone know if i can go to a shoe store and purchase them or do i have to go to a specialized ferrari site for them,Any help would be great...thank you |
