32k sterling is a fantastic price for a good 348 spider. I take it you are in the UK JRK? Where are you, I'm in Derby?

On the autotrader website I can see five Spiders for sale at the moment, ranging from 35k to 45k. I know from my experience of looking that condition can vary GREATLY!

Justyn.

I would be cautious buying a car with 53,000 miles. No matter how much people say that this mileage is not a problem for a 348 (and I have no reason to doubt it), this mileage is obviously concerning you and when you eventually come to sell it with maybe 60k+ miles on the clock you will have trouble selling it for the very same reason.

I just bought a 1994 348 spider with 23k miles for 38k GBP (converts to approx $60,800 USD) It took me a long time and a lot of travelling to find it but it was worth it to get a car I was 100% happy with. Also I know that when I come to sell it it should be that much easier to sell and get a good price for.

Good luck!

Justyn.

Jon,

Mine has just past the 80.5k mark and runs great. No smoke on cold starts, good compression, shifts very well, and handles fantastically! Very, fun and rewarding car to drive, no power steering, heavy clutch (I like this). The concensus on the 348 motor and tranny is that they are very strong (durable). Don't be afraid of an f-car with some miles, especially if it's been properly maintained.

a friend of mine had a 348 spider as rental car and with regular servicing it ran about 200.000 km without mayor problems and with different and unexpierienced drivers.
but be sure, the belts are done regulary.

The blue car is Chris in Chicago and his car is going for mid $50K I think.
Great color if you do not mind the burgundy int.

$55K is a great price if you ask me.

I have a black on black in excellent condition for $ 62K, 40K Miles, 30K done 2K Miles ago.

It is no the blue one, I have seen that around for a while now. It is a red/tan with serious stereo, not that its needed. Seems to be in excellent shape. My mechanic says he prefers a car with more milage as opposed to a garage queen with 5-10k miles because of seals and dry out ect.

If you're looking at the Chario Blue with red interior one, which I think is in Chicago, I would negotiate a much lower price. That one's been on the market for at least six months, if not more.

Do you guys think it would be a mistake to buy a 1994 348 Spyder with 53,000 miles. The car seems to be in excellent shape and has all service and service records. The price was 64,500, and now its down to 59,500. I will be using this as a weekend car. What do you think?
