For me the F40 has always been drop dead gorgeous until one evening on my way to visit my folks that I see the red blur out coming towards me. It was a F50 out cruising and it was the most beautiful car I have ever seen.

Mind you, I have seen them very often in person but something about that scenery that made it out of this world. I'll never forget that day!

Forza Ferrari! :-)

Enzo? The most beautiful car ever seen by the world? I think you will find that most people do not share your opinion.
Rgds,
Faisal.

The F50 is gorgeous, in my opinion... Moreso than the F40... Don't get me wrong, the F40 leaves me breathless, but not like the F50... But all this FX0 nonsense aside, the Enzo is clearly the most beautiful car the world has/will ever see... :-)

Jim, there are photos of the 288 GTO in some of my other "WWOC" threads - it was the first time i'd ever seen one in person, of course i took pictures...! :-)

I'm the other way I guess... I really like the F40/Enzo, but the F50 just doesn't do it for me- not that I wouldn't take one, or anything ;-)

Jim,

C'mon, The F50 is the most beatiful car in the world. Pictures do not show anything near how it looks in real life.

When I saw my first F50 I couldn't stop staring for a hour or something like that. I think I have around 50 pictures of it in my album. It's soooo beatiful. The F40 never appealed to me as a beauty, it's awesome but not pretty.

wasn't he in that movie...weekend at Bennie's? LOL.

So DES, you were 5 feet away from a 288 GTO and no photos? That is my fav and the F40. Don't really care much for the F50 or Enzo. I mean they are great cars, but like whart said...they just keep making them uglier.

I've always thought the F50 was beautiful. The beauty of the F40 and Enzo, to me, lies in their purposefulness (is that a word?). They make as few compromises as possible to be "an F1 car for the street".
DES, I know you don't own a Ferrari, but I'm insanely jealous of you for getting to know all these Ferrari owners, and seeing all of these Ferraris!!!

You know, its funny, but with the Enzo as context, the F-50 is almost attractive. Not that i am down on the Enzo, but each of the "super" ferraris, from the 288 GTO, to the F-40, to the F-50, to the Enzo, has gotten uglier. Not that ugly is bad,... but by comparsion, the F-50 now looks almost, well, rational?

Des, that was Benny- he also has a Pagani Zonda, 333sp, a couple F40's, that F50, that yellow Enzo, and a 550 Barchetta- thats all I know of- but I'm sure there's more. He's always at the track during the summer, come to Lime Rock with me for the FCA meet and he'll most likely be there in his 333sp!

Ryan...

The owner of the F50 approaches his car and as he's getting in, several people stood by to wait and listen to it start up...
Apparently, this gentleman owns those 4 cars in that row, the 288 GTO, the F40, the F50 and the yellow Enzo... Jokingly, i asked him if he wanted me to follow him, in is Enzo; he said, "they keys are in it, go ahead..."

Very nice guy... He smiled and eased himself into the F50... After belting himself in, he closed the door... Seconds later, i heard a rumble that still echoes in my chest, now... i purposely stood behind the car, so i could get the best effect... It was sweet...

The best part was after he left... The ensuing crowd had dispursed; it seemed that the F50 was out of sight, out of mind... i collected myself and began preparing my camera for (more) shots of the Enzo when i heard a thunderous rumble in the distance... i smiled, discreetly; it was the F50, most likely pulling away from a light that had just turned green... "Sweet... real sweet" i thought... It was an awesome day.

Great pictures DES! Thanks for sharing.
I'm the guy in the middle (second from last) with the Momo Ferrari Jacket.
My shocker of the day: I saw Ferrari jackets in their showroom for $900. And it was on sale from $1200. Is this right or do I need new glasses?
