Ben, the construction technique is a proprietiary method similar in many ways to "prepreg." I'm sorry that I can't divulge any details. Modman is correct about the clear-coat. It also provides a very smooth, durable and scratch-resistant surface. |

Chris, does that mean you have the parts for the 355 already? I have yet to see my detailer to have him give me the parts. The 348 piece looks great!

Automotive urethane clearcoat because of the UV inhibitors in it otherwise it may start to turn yellow and I have seen it happen. Surfboard resin is pretty stable but epoxies are not. |

just out of curriosity, how do you form your parts? Prepreg or cloth, etc? (I'm just getting into composites for a special project we're doing, so I'm naturely currious to hear your whole process details if you're willing to share You mentioned Urethane clearcoat, your finish looks superb! Best! Ben. |

Yes, we'll be making the ash tray portion too, after the upper console is complete. We will make vents, door levers, and door trim, too, but need a "donor" first (for the latter three parts). If anyone is interested in providing these parts in exchange for carbon fiber versions, please let me know. Also, the 355 interior is in the works too, but won't be released until June. Thanks for the kind remarks, everyone. [email protected]

Don't forget the vents, door levers, and the piece at top of the door where the window comes in. There are several pieces that melt.

We are now accepting orders for the carbon fiber 348 shifter console. Price is $245. The upper console will be available in a couple of weeks, and will match this piece. This carbon fiber part is finished with urethane clear-coat for unsurpassed durability and shine. Mounting studs are molded onto the underside for a no-hassle hardware swap. This part is the first in what will be an extensive line of Ferrari carbon fiber components. Please stay tuned for more new parts in the near future. We currently accept Paypal and check (by mail). To order, e-mail Valence USA at [email protected], or call us at (434) 977-7951. Visit us on the Web at www.valenceusa.com
