Hi Jay, I am sorry we were not properly introduced. Anyway, nice to have almost met you. I understand from archives that you might visit Rock's auto sometime. I am planning to visit him next week to check out the place. Maybe we'll meet there. |

I don't know if the 355 is a Challenge. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to go on the track. I still have to sort out the car a bit. Needs a tuneup of the carbs and a main seal so I can stop paintaing my garage floor black!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo I am kicking myself for not making it up there The owner of Cant DRV is a dear friend - great driver so don't let the plate fool you. I had work and car issues get inthe way

Just got back from the event. Unfortunately, I did not get to take pics of the cars running. Over 35 Ferraris showed up, plus a few Masers, Corvettes and others. My friend and Chief Instructor for Ferrari Derek Hanson. He's standing in front of a highly modified Challenge 348. Look at those brakes! He's pointing to the wing, custom designed by him. Trailer behind belongs to the Kitcheners. They were barbecuing for anyone who wanted food, and had a wonderful hospitality setup. Amazing Cajun Chicken! Close up of the wing. This car, belonging to Paul and Linda Kitchener, ran well in the Challenge series but never won. After the wing was installed, they won the next race. Paul and Linda attribute the success and the stickiness of the rear end now to the wing. Too bad he doesn't make it anymore. If you look carefully, you can see "DECH" embedded below "Ferrari". A number of 355s, 348s, M3s and Corvettes have similar custom wings. Love this car. License plate "CANT DRV". Has a 360 Spider that says "CANt DRV2". Loves golf! Mint Daytona. First time I've seen it in person. Love the shape though it definitely looks very tall. Faster car on the track according to everyone. Specially prepped and apparently was flying!!! My little Babuschka. Hope it means what I think it does! That's all for now. Had a great time! Thanks to Paul and Linda Kitchener. Wonderful folks and a real class act. |
