Anyone concerned about the strong possibility of rain tomorrow?

Thanks Andrew.

Now the question is do I bring the Fcar or the Miata? See you all June 1.

I just heard from Francis over there. He faxed over the registration form...I just have to make sure my co-driver is free.

Andrew has already posted the info you need to know.

Continental breakfast during registration and buffet luncheon included. Followed by the Monaco Grand Prix at 1 PM.

Contact Rick or Francis at Algar for info: (610)527-1100. Oh and of course, they accept Visa/MC/AMEX.

The questions are simple; mostly about signs you pass along the way. They are listed in the directions as you would come across them so you have an idea when to keep your eyes open.

Example questions from last year:
There is an old truck for sale. What does the license plate say? How much are they asking? What is the phone number on the sale sign?

How many farms did you pass along the route? What were their names?

I just called and asked for more info, but am waiting to hear back from one of the salesmen. I'll post more about the registration and any info I get when/if I hear back.

What kind of questions do they ask? Can you provide a sample question from last year? Thanks!

I participated in Algars rally last year as a passenger in my brothers 308. Algar prepares driving directions mixed with questions specific to things you encounter along the route. The goal is to answer all the questions and arrive at the final destination with the average time. Participants with the most correct answers and the average time received prizes. Although last year they did award the fastest time as well, and yes as my brother posted earlier it was a Miata. The entire event consisted of the watching the grand prix, the rally and lunch.

This year I will be driving my M3. Im not sure yet if Ill be trying for the fastest time or trying to answer the questions; as long as I do better then my brother, then Ill be happy.

Some more info about the rally:
RSVP by 5-26-03; $25 per person; 2 people required per car - one to drive one to read the directions. Please call Algar 610-527-1100 for a registration form; I sure they will gladly FAX one to you.

1 June 2003 Itinerary of Events

9:30am Arrive at Algar Ferrari/Maserati for breakfast and rally registration.
10:00am Final registration for the rally
10:30am First cars roll off
12:30am 1:00pm Rally cars arrive at our final destination.
1:00pm ? Enjoy the afternoon and all the pomp and pageantry that is Monaco.

I would definitely be interested in going to this event. I bought my 328 in April and I've been itching to get to a Ferrari meeting with it. I missed the Reading Concours because of family events. Any info would be appreciated it.

Well, in that case, anyone have any info like time and meet location (I'll assume it's at Algar)?

You don't need a Ferrari.
I'm taking my F355 spider and my brother is taking his M3.
I did it last year and there were a few Porches, a Cobra, a M3 and few other makes.
Also, the person with the fastest time was driving a Miata.

Vernon, I went last year and it was quite good fun. Can't make it this year as it conflicts with my better half's surprise B-day party. Oh the choices we make!!!!!
