ok, i give, in the photo w/road sign reading 'Sharp Park Road/San Bruno', where's this at? My sister used to live in San Bruno, on side of hill kind of overlooking SFO airport, off of 101(damn, what was that exit road name? Started with a 'T' i think), was really convenient for visits, get picked up 5 minutes after i called her...is this locale on the other side of the hill, on the foggy side?

Ben,

Good thing you have a sunroof. I saw the camera and tried to smile for the shot. :-)

My absolute pleasure Noel, you have one of the sweetest 348s I've EVER seen (love that louver-less look) !

I'm glad some of the shots came out, I shot these totally blind poking the camera out the sunroof while focusing on the road :-)

I have higher-res versions if you like! (email; [email protected] )

Ferraris ripping the aspault on the infamous Devil's Slide !! (just kidding! we're actually crawling due to the poor road condition).

It's the first time I've seen my car in motion. Thanks for sweet pix Ben!

Good shots, the fog realy adds depth to the colors rather than washing them out.

Norm - that or I could go to bed before 5 ;)

Some of us drove a hundred miles for the Extravaganza.

Didn't know 348's had bench seating. :-)

The fog is very thick today just like yesterday (100 feet visibility). It looks like summer has arrived in SF.

The roads are wet/slippery. Bring your jacket & drive carefully.

This close, nothing can stop me! (not even driving the POS 'parts car' :P)

See you guys for breakfast! (I may try and meet up with you all at the Good Guys/Serramonte if that's cool.)

Weather looks decent, should be partly sunny later on, mostly clouds in AM, with no rain in the entire area. (infact no rain 'till Tuesday.)

Best!
Ben.

PS: Faisal- Couldn't find the other thread where you asked after me (aww! :-) but yes, I'll be there, can't wait to see which car you bring!!! see ya there buddy!

Stephen:

Expect fog over there. It will clear behind the coastal range after about 10 am. I don't thing it will clear near the coast all day.

I'm bringing the wife. One request...Please don't mention the Turbo yet. I want to surprise her. The car is at the dealership because of a fuel pump problem (can you believe it?) even though it's brand new and picked up from the dealer with less than 20 miles on it or so.

Anyone own a 456M they can bring? I'm trying to close my wife on one of those.

Cheers

Art,

I could meet you in Point Richmond. I should be on-time this time, now that I'm over my fear of the check 1-4 light.

I'm still trying to get the GT-40 to come. It's looking good....I know it's what I said last time.

Solid. I'd know your car anywhere!

I do know of a solid blue one that resides in Daly City. I strongly suspect he was the culprit. It was accelerating up the hill past the Sand Hill Road entrance on 280, and I heard him romp through 3 gears. Lovely.

depends on the weather/mood. Might bring the Lotus if it's nice. I drive the TVR all the time, so I try to stretch the Lotus' legs when I can.

Faisal, saw from previous posts you have a TVR. Are you going to be bringing that bad boy?

After the first time the battery died with the alarm activated I had a hard time getting into the car because on the roadster, the windows have to roll down a crack so the doors can open but in the manual it said you can pull the door at an angle and it worked and after that I trickle charge it. The project was some carbon fiber stuff like the dash, engine cover, tail lamps and center grill which I want to redo again and the gauge surroundings were redone in chrome. Working with carbon fiber is OK till your skin starts itching and gets all rashy, so for now I'm taking a break. The car is driven with no exhaust- just the precats - what a difference! loud? not really but it sounds much better without the Tubi exhaust. Next I'm going to remove the drive shaft to the front to reduce weight and less stress to the clutch.

What kind of mistchief could a Devil get into during bad weather in a garage all by himself? <oh>

What kind of small projects did your Diablo work on?
:-)

By the way, if it's sat for a few months, won't the battery be dead?

I'm going to be down in the bay area on the 25th visiting my brother but I don't think I'll be able to be up at 8 am. but maybe in the late morning or afternoon. I will finally be taking my Diablo for a good run since it sat in the garage for a few months during bad weather and working on small projects.

Please invite your friend from the last drive to join us. His 355 Spider was lovely. I believe he was nearing delivery of a new 360 coupe? Look forward to talking about your new coupe!
