I beleive the brake fluid lease is caused by the hose. The quoted hose price is: $380.72. It will take 3 1/2 hours to fix. |

Brake fluid evaporates. So if you see it anywhere, you have a leak. |

Where is it leaking from?? The calipers (ie one of the 4 pistons??). Or from the master cylinder? |

"Do you guys know if the labor is under warranty too? If not, what am I looking at $$$ wise." Covered "They checked the car over and diagnosed it with a bad cam seal." If it's hitting the belts, get it done. "Finally, they found a lot of break fluid which they didn't think was a leak. They believe it might have been spilled when the last service was done. They are going to check this out and get back to me later. " Possible but doubtful

Warren, what year is your car? It is recommened that you get your 30K service done every 5 years, regardless of mileage. Again, depending on the year you are under an 8/80 federal emission warranty. Labor is covered. R&R time on a cat is no more than 1 hour per side. |

Well the update on my 355 is the following. If you guys recall I brought my car to the WWOC Tech event and ended up leaving it there to be more thoroughly checked. Jim called me yesterday with the following results: The "check engine" light was caused by the right cat being faulty. The cat is under warranty and it will take a few days for them to order it and get it into the store. Do you guys know if the labor is under warranty too? If not, what am I looking at $$$ wise. When they put the car on a lift they also saw a lot of oil. They checked the car over and diagnosed it with a bad cam seal. I think I will get this done when I get the 30K service done. The 15K was done already and the car only has 17K miles so I'm not looking to do the 30K anytime soon. Finally, they found a lot of break fluid which they didn't think was a leak. They believe it might have been spilled when the last service was done. They are going to check this out and get back to me later. That's about it for now. Any suggestions? |
