This is funny: Geico insurance called me yesterday on my 85 EURO TR. The adjuster, Walter wanted to use my car as an option for the owner of a black TR that had damage. He came over last evening and looked at my car and said our car looked better than this guys car before the accident. Here is the super funny thing. The owner is a dealer in Miami and lives right here accross the street from my office. I see him all the time. He owns this TR since he brought it from Europe. Geico has this car as a total loss. That is why they want to replace the car instead of paying for re-doing this baby. It is the same car. What is missing in this description is that one wheel is bent. This car was used as a daily driver and I applaud him for doing so. As I said I see him for years driving this car to work. They valued his car at $ 35,000 before the accident. He said excessive wear in the int. Seats and all. Although on these pictures it lookes pretty good.

Buy this TR and for another $599 you can have a clean title rather than a salvage one... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2416557925&category=6212 Although it may be legal, it sure doesn't look very ethical. |
