I think you have different engine/tranny choices. I don't think the one Steve is talking about had a Corvette engine. They're fully customizable, so the one that was there might've been different. Cheers |

Come on Neal...."was 1 of fastest cars there includ 355c and 360c ". Passed him like he was stuck in neutral. Nice car yes, but not driven quickly. That car has the Corvette motor with a Porsche gearbox. The owner is taking delivery of another one soon. In the right hands it's probably devistatingly fast.

Neal, We had a lovely british racing green one at our last Bay Area Breakfast drive. Check the archives for pictures. It is a Can-Am car for the street. Amazing vehicle. This particular car has the F50 brake/suspension package. Very cool! It really hauled a$$ through the canyon portion of the drive. Hope to see it out this weekend. |

we had two of them along for the ride at our vmax day out last month. nice profile, and plenty of power. pretty simple formula though, body weighs nothing and has a pretty big v8. can't say that i would really want to be in an accident in one though..... |

website: http://www.ultimacars.com/ Apparently they are street legal, with and without a roof. You can specify the engine, wheels, paint, etc etc.. highly customizable. There's a guy somewhere in the U.S. with a twin turbo LS1 in his Ultima that makes somewhere around 1000hp if I remember correctly. There's also a good video of Tiff Needle driving the snot out of one with plenty of good commentary. I think for the money, the performance is hard to beat. |
