Saw the Enzo do its first track run today at the Ferrari fest at Donnington this afternoon. There was hundreds of ferraris there, kind of made ferraris common. But the speacial ones were in the main veiwing room and were in this order 288 GTO, F50 and the Enzo, there was room in between the 288 and the f50 for what must have been the f40 but there was a no show. Now dont get me wrong the enzo is a stunning creation as is the f50 but F**K me the 288 GTO! I have never seen one in the flesh and to me was the most stunning,i could not keep my eyes of it my two young boys was loving the other two, i think its becourse i am 37 and was bought up on Magnum pi. Any way to our delight three drivers came from under the barrias and opend the cars and sat in them (the Enzo did look great) then fired them up at the same time the doors opend to let the horses out on to the track.I only realy noticed the 288 go by me (not realy) F**k it was a sight. As the horses left there was a huge rush of spectators trying to make it to the public track side.....Out side all three was lined up in the order Enzo,F50, and a lovely sexy red shiny sleek 288 GTO!!!! Any ways they set of under blooby Maseraty escorts one in front one at the rear WHAT!! As they went round the track they were never givern the opptunity to streach ther legs but i do know two facts the F50 sounded AWSOME i was supprised at the sound of the enzo (must be regulations in Europe or some thing) As for the 288 the driver seemed to be going for a sunday drive or something bringing up the rear in poor style,in fact my little boys asked me if there was something wrong with it.
All in all though great day today and its all again tomorrow. Felt funny though how being that there was so many ferraris there they did seem very common from 308s to 360s except for the TRs (wow!) I have taken photos and i will atempt to put them up when i learn how to. See ya C
