Wow, your getting a challange from the guy that asks "can I supersize your order, sir?" What a dingus, remember this guy is also handling your food. Ask him if Ronald McDonald signs his paycheck. What he means by smoking you is from his poorly tuned engine, blown head gasket from too much abuse. etc... I'm sure that mulletmoble smokes & coughs oil all over the place.

Hey, at least they mistaken your Ferrari for a Mustang. The first week I had my 360, I heard a girl behind me say "Wow, A new Eclipse!" as I was getting gas. Before I could turn around, her friend quickly corrected her, in a rather loud voice, with "That's a Ferrari!" :-)

Congratulations Brad: Enjoy your new car and have many happy miles. When I was filling up my car at Shell I had a wood cutter ask me whether my 360 was one of "those new Mustangs" and was serious.

In a bizarro-world kind of way, he was actually complimenting you. Since he obviously felt so challenged by the mere presence of a Ferrari on his McDonald-land turf, he felt the need to let you know your place in his small-brained yahoo hotrod pecking order. He's probably harmless, but in the unlikely event he decides to spend his precious time between shifts hunting you down and challenging you to "race" (racing, of course, meaning 'me go fast in straight line'), let the cops meet him.

Well Brad, at the end of the day, you'll get to go home in a Ferrari and he gets to go home in a Trans Am. Who's the winner there?

Not putting down Trans Ams, but if I had the choice between a 3x8 Ferrari (make that ANY Ferrari) and a hopped up quarter mile burner....well....I know what I would pick each time every time.

Brad,
You will get comments born of admiration and comments born of jealousy. Fortunately, the latter are less frequent.

I remember when I had my 1st Ferrari (a 308) a young guy in a parking lot with a beatup old Corolla said "my car is as good as yours". I replied, "your car is better, but not nearly as much fun!". It's easier to go with the flow. After all, you have a Ferrari, what is there to prove?

Brad,

Hmmm... reminds me of the issue of size and who has the largest. Some people in the world feel they need to validate themselves through various means. Personal validation can be a unique situation from person to person.

Street racing on public roads is not acceptable. Period! NEVER underestimate the stupidity and risk taking of the OTHER person. Drivers of cars kill people.

In a very polite manner i ALWAYS let people like that win and let them know how wonderful their car/size/etc must be and it has my personal admiration.

Enjoy the Drive,

Steven R. Rochlin

There's only one thing wrong with the Trans-Am, everytime you put the key in the door you have to look at it!

Okay, maybe there is more than one thing wrong with it...can you say "Flaming chicken?"

Don't let it get you down. I've been getting agitated lately myself because whenever I mention I want a 308 all I hear is why do you want one of those they are slooooooow and they are old school etc.. What you have to consider Brad is does this car make YOU happy. Do you get giddy when you get behind the wheel or even when you just think about it? Don't let other people ruin your enjoyment and don't feel you have to make excuses for your car.
Some people feel they just have to put everything else but what they have down. In a case like your encounter with the kid with the T/A say something like wow you have a Trans Am that is a fast car and ask him all about his car you will probably blow his mind!

He might be able to take you from a stoplight, but watch his trans am in a corner or when he tries to brake hard......You will have the last laugh!

Kinda.

Reminds me of my first day bringing home my first Ferrari.

Twice, got raced by 2 kids, different scenarios, just bringing it home.

My "new" 328 arrived on Passport Transport Thursday night. In between my son's baseball and my daughter's softball, I've been able to put about 120 miles on it so far.
Tonight I take my daughter to McD's after her game and some young McDonald's employee comes up to me at the counter and in his best Beavis & Butthead voice informs me that "<his> trans am will smoke that thing". Is this what I have to look forward to?
