Hi Lawrence, he phone me this morning but never showed up. I was the only Ferrari there... I took many more photos and most of it is non-Ferrari-content, so I'll post those in a new thread in "Off-topic" later. Here's a few from today: The Ferrari certainly drew a crowd, even amongst the hundreds of other cars present: More of that Alfa: The pace car leading one group through Turn 1: At the end of the day, I was the last (of the car clubs) to leave. The poor little GT4 was all alone...: ...And that awful muddy parking lot never dried up. Look what it did to my poor little GT4!:

Great pics Peter! This must be Mission raceway. Roy told me about this but it sounds like he didn't make it? |

Peter, The 308 GT4 really looks best in a dark colour like yours IMO! The design has to grow on you since it is not a "typical" Ferrari. I like it more and more lately. The Fiat and the Alfa look good, too, while the weather reminds me of Ferrari Racing Days in Spa this year. Man, how long it took me to clean the car afterwards! Despite that its still so much fun to track a Ferrari on the racetrack and drive it home afterwards. Did that this weekend both days at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Always fun! Con saluti cordialissimi, Jens Haller

Good pictures and please send more soon. Vintage Racing often provides a wonderful display of rollng art and great racing. When I was racing in SVRA, HSR etc we used to say "We don't collect art, we race it!" |

For a brief intro, check out this thread: http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/1121/249996.html?1052966579 Here are some photos from today, which unfortunately there was some really heavy rain (and the last relay race was cancelled), but most of the cars headed out anyways (like it was mentioned elsewhere here at F'Chat, we Northwesterners are a hardy bunch...): My GT4 in the parking lot: Pit lane...: A beautiful Alfa SV Zagato from Seattle: These Washington guys are a serious bunch, this is their trailer...: ...And this is what one of their crew members drive: A 1978 Tiga and a 1969 Alfa GTV, both from WA: Here's a local car. If I remember correctly, the guy found this and a Lambo Urraco in a barn in Saskatchewan!!!: Even the oldtimers showed up. Here's a '30's Lagonda: A Cobra chasing a Stingray: An E-type: More pictures tomorrow (and the weather is supposed to be much better)... |
